I've looked at the future archer units based on jp servants, and the only 5 star to catch my eye is Ishtar. However, I only really looked because archer Altria interested me. I'm having a hard time deciding based on their looks so of the two, who is more fun? Which is a 'better' unit? Also, when should Ishtar be released? Thanks.
Can't speak for Ishtar but being able to use a squirt gun as apparently "the Archer class really is made up of archers!" as well as being able to np virtually every 2/3 turns is extremely fun. Squirtle is by far my favorite unit now and I don't even have her max ascended. In terms of fun at least she is as good as Gil to me (I still want Gil though :o)
Archuria is still the best ST arts archer currently in JP server. If you have a Tamamo (caster) or support she's amazing for most challenge quests, that said she doesn't need Tamamo, she's just that much better in an arts team is all. Ishtar if you don't have Gil (or just want her) and need a aoe archer though Arash is fine if all you want is farming.
Two Servants sharing a class isn't really that big of a deal. Over time you will accrue many Servants in the same class each with a niche, card set and focus that differs from one another. Generally they also play a fair bit different and with different support needs.
Comparing an Arts ST Servants with an AoE Buster Servant is a bit unnecessary and not something to be worried about.
Roll for the Servant you want to have because you like them. You don't need to roll for "better Servants". Ishtar does grant some big quality of life stuff though, being perfect for farming monster materials with her 50% NP gauge boost and massive steroids.
See that's the problem, I like both of them lol. However my goal is to have an SSR for each class, so I'm trying to get opinions on which I should go for. My original comment probably should have said something like this, oops
If you want the most all purpose SSR for archers that's Gil. Squirtle is great at ST and for challenge quests but Gil cando with AOE and reasonably amazing ST against servants. The weakness to enuma elish most servants have is no joke. I tested both the other day against Gawain in the free quest thousand year kingdom. Enuma elish hit him for a staggering 157k hit
