Is "Death" considered a debuff?

Hi! So yeah, is Death a debuff or is it it's own thing? Was wondering because I was curious if debuff resist down would increase death chance.

Death is its own thing so only death rate up/down effects will work with it.

Death is it's own thing. Debuff resist doesn't effect it. You'd need 'Death Resist Down' to increase the likelihood of it landing (Alternatively, if you're using Nitocris, Instakill Success Rate Up does the same thing.). Debuff resist can apply to the Death Resist (That is, they resist having their death chance lowered) but it doesn't effect the chance itself. Which can be a benefit given that Magic Resistance is given to about 2/3 of the servants in the game... Not that they'll ever actually get hit with Death.

I actually got my drake hit with death while fighting Ozy and Nito in Camelot. Actually made me fail the node once.
Edit: Also mashu got gibbed by cursed arm too in Camelot during the 3 Hassan fight

Your servants have much higher death rates than when they are enimies you can search up what each individual servants death rate is if your curious but when they are on the enemy side servants will have a 0.1% death rate 99% of the time(the other 1% is usually a 0% rate)

Death is a status debuff for example if you have debuff immunity you will not be affected by instant death skill.

The game does not register death as a debuff, having a debuff immunity skill just means that you resist debuffs that would increase the likelihood of Death being applied successfully (such as Mystic Eyes, Egyptian Magecraft A, Dance of Silence B, etc). The death chance on servants is a FIXED rate. Debuff immunity skill cannot remove the Death rate from a servant. A debuff immunity skill will prevent a debuff from increasing this Death rate, but you are still prone to Death.

This is from the wikia:
"Instant-Kill is not a debuff. Servants and Enemies have a separate Death Resist stat from Debuff Resist. Effects that prevent debuffs do not prevent Instant-Kill."

Already answered well but I'll add there's actually a separate instant death immunity status to further separate the two.
