You do not. It's just a stage clear reward.
But what do you mean by level? Mash does not level with her ascensions. They are tied to the story, but her level does not grow with them, you need to level her yourself, just like others
No. The bond points will be wasted on her. Her bonds are on the story progression. She needs embers to lvl up btw.
No, she doesnt have to be in your party for ascension, but you have to give her xp like any other servant. That said, she has zero cost and her buffs (skills) are amazing. I always have her on my second line in case I need her.

I worded incorrectly, I understand that Mash needs to level with embers just like any other character and have done so accordingly and kept her level maxed for her ascension stage - but had read her np will get a ‘level up’ from a stage reward as well.
