You can make Ishtar work though if you prefer her as a character/waifu.

Gil or Ishtar
A kinda irrelevant question at the game’s current stage. But I just want to know whether Gil or Ishtar is the better option for killing bosses with multiple break bars? Since believe or not the New Year Campaign is only 2 months away guys XD. I have my list of Servant available below, and I do intend to dolphin, not whale, for Merlin.

There's nothing wrong with Ishtar, but Gil is widely considered the best buster-crit DPS and will be very broken once he gets all his strengthening.

Not that I know of, but you could always just look up all the info on both of them and compare them yourself. Any fgo site that isn't NA-specific will have both of them. I personally use this one:

Gil for his NP special attack and star gen. In Japan now, Gil, Tesla, and Ishtar are the best 3 AOE archers. If you get one of three, you're set.
PS: Tesla is roughly the same as or slighly worse than Ishtar now until he gets his skill strengthening quest. After that, he is only behind Gil by a little bit.

Gil or Ishtar is a monster to begin with, just pick your favorite.
Both is a Boss killer and very strong farmer and wave clearer. Also work well with multiple servant boss slaying.
Gil and Ishtar both is good at dealing with break bar boss, why Premiere Archer like them can do that? they're already broken mate.
No matter how much i look don't compare them, just pick what your heart desire.
