Guaranteed SSR Banner

So as the GSSR banner is coming really soon, i've decided to spend some money on the game. The dilemma i'm in right now is that i can't choose on which class to roll on. I'm choosing between berserkers and sabers as those are the only classes on which i lack an ssr servant. I would really love to hear your opinions on which class should i go for!! :D

As far as gameplay goes, the Sabers on the GSSR banner are fairly low tier. The reasons being low base atk stats, the famous instinct ability, and a lower star weight. The Berserker banner on the other hand has Cu Alter, which is a monster due to Protection from Arrows C and Battle Continuation A. Both of which give a large boost to their ability to survive despite the Berserker 2x damage received. Vlad III is also a very interesting servant, acting as a arts Berserker. If that kind of gameplay seems interesting to you then he is also worth a shot. Nightingale is pretty bad as she is a buster support that is also a berserker.

In regards to the other banners, if you don't have a Tamamo or a Waver, then the caster one is would be best for gameplay. It would be a 66% chance to roll one of the better supports. Would not recommend if you already have one of them. Rider is the safest with two of the best damage dealers in the game in Ozy and Quetz, as well as Drake who is a monster at farming. Only bad servant is Medb as she is an anti male caster unit.

In honesty though, if you are stuck between Saber and Berserker you likely already have Waver/Tamamo, which really sets you for gameplay as you can use your support for a damage dealer. If this is the case you should go for a servants that you personally like.

I'm pretty much in agreement with Leyl (except the part about Nightingale being bad, fite me)

With Sabers, you're getting a servant among servants who basically do the same thing- be an AoE beatstick.

Berserkers, each one is unique. Cu Alter needs very little introduction and is easily one of the best berserkers in the game. Vlad is pretty bland and usually only deals about 45K damage on his NP. He's not a bad servant but doesn't offer anything particularly unique other than being an arts berserker.

Nightingale gets very little love due to basically being a squishy support. Lowest attack among all SSR berserkers. But a 50% targetable buster buff is no joke. She doesn't play like a standard berserker or support servant but a targetable 50% buster buff is nothing to pass up. With the Chaldea Combat Uniform, you can use her to set up some very insane combos. For example, I saw a video of someone who defeated the 2 million HP Enkidu in Babylonia using Rama, 2 Wavers, and a Nightingale. Her support is niche, but very strong. Don't discount her.

tl;dr, roll Berserker. There's nothing but goodness to be found.

Vlad is good... My NP 2 Vlad buff with tamamo art and waver atk+ can deal around 180k damage. Maybe you still not upgrade his NP?. and if the setup is good you can actually loop the NP at least twice

Thanks for your insight!! Even though Merlin will come like next week, i think having Nightingale would be really nice. Imagine all those double Buster Buffs if you have her and Merlin!! That would be insane.

My response to why Nightingale is bad is because in the ideal buster crit comp, you have your damage dealer, Your Merlin, a Friend's Merlin, and a Waver. Buster up stacks manipulatively with Attack up buffs. Meaning ideally you want both to be high, but seeing as you will have 100% buster buff already getting more attack up is simply better. That is also without factoring Wavers crit damage increase. The numbers without crits factored in yet is 7k damage on a Jalter (as a baseline). Factoring crits with an np buster brave chain on a Jalter the difference in damage is 119k.

In other words you get more theoretical damage out of double merlin, waver. That is the reason Nightingale gets very little love.

But yeah you have waver, go for Berserker.

Keyword "paid". Yes, you will have to actually spend money to roll.

Saber GSSR :- Artoria, Altera, and Mordred. all is not so good saber

Berserker :- Vlad 3, Nightingale, Cu Alter.

So I think you better choose Basaka.

If you go for Sabers, you are guaranteed to get a AOE Saber. It just depends on who you get. They are all pretty much the same with some minor differences.

Just go Berserker as they are generally better than the current sabers.

To comment on the Rider the banner a little. Note that Medb gets buffed even more and is in a good place on the JP server (she has gotten three buffs - NP Interlude, charm upgrade (defense down added) and the Charisma bonus for males (which we already have).

Basically gonna echo everyone else. With the saber banner, you are guaranteed an AOE saber, none of which will be limited in any way, so they could all potentially spook you. On the other hand, both Nightingale and Cu Alter on the berserker banner are story-locked and therefore a lot harder to get since you can't get random spooks from them unless you roll story.

Besides that, the berserkers are generally better. Cu Alter needs no introduction, one of the top contenders for best berserker. Nightingale is pretty underrated imo, she's a pretty good support who trades longevity for damage. Vlad is probably the most underwhelming of the lot, but even he has a unique niche as the only arts based damage berserker. I have him at NP 2 and he's suprisingly tanky for a zerk while also offering some spam potential when paired with the right support. Compare that with the three AOE sabers, none of them are bad per se, but of course none are particularly exciting either, and imo Cu Alter alone is worth rolling zerk banner for.

I totally forgot that Nightingale is story -locked. Looks like that gives me more incentive to roll for the basaka class! Thank you!
