Well, I got gilgamesh as my main damage dealer got an NP2 rider(the queen) so when 2 of my servant dies she pops out when gil isn't dead yet. The thing is, she's stealing what's supposedly gil's crit, I realized that riders are crit star hogs and started doubting if I should still put her in the party and put full supports for Gilgamesh or keep her in incase gil dies somehow.
Don't use marie (or any rider) if you want to use gil (or any crit dealer) in your team. Rider will always steal a lot critical star because of their star weight. If you want a support servant with gil , anderson is probably a better choice. With healing in his np and skill that increase critical damage.
Star hogs and crit servants go together about as well as peanut butter and mayonnaise. However, that doesn't mean that you can't use her at all. If you don't already have a survivalist servant in the last slot of your backline, Marie does a pretty decent job in that role, though Heracles, Cu, and Umu could probably do it better. Anderson or CAH are probably better supports for your mainline to help Gil out.
You can also use Gil's 3rd Skill to prevent Riders from hogging stars but it need to be raised to a high level.
