Summer part 2 Main quest locked

So I've been going through part 2 summer and I'm at chapter 3 2/2 and it says you unlock it by building a "stone statue" from part 1. I built every statue from part 1 but ended up clearing them all. Does this mean I'll have to build one again? And does anyone know whether this sort of thing will pop up again? Ie, part 2 main quests being unlocked only if you have something from part 1 already built?
