Differences

  • Amun-Ra’s statistics have improved, dealing more damage and having more HP.
  • Amun-Ra will now cast his healing skill during the first turn and once more during rest of the encounter as before. The Healing per turn stacks unfortunately.
  • Bringing enemy buff removal or buff prevention is highly effective at countering the HP regeneration.

Boss Analysis

  • Amun-Ra hits all targets with his basic attacks for about 1600 damage per hit unbuffed
  • Amun-Ra’s basic attacks have three hits per attack, which grants a helpful boost to your NP gauge

  • The AI for Amun-Ra is very predictable. Amun-Ra either attacks, or debuffs single Servants with NP generation down. He will only cast his other skills if the following conditions have been met:

  • Amun-Ra will only cleanse and attack buff himself if he is afflicted by a debuff.

  • Once Amun-Ra is at half HP or lower, he will heal himself once for a significant amount.

  • Amun-Ra’s NP is often lethal except for full HP Servants or those with protections. An attack-buffed Amun-Ra will counter single defense buffs as well.

Team Composition Recommendations

Beast Class Triangle
  • The Beast class receives class advantaged damage from the Cavalry classes (Riders, Casters and Assassins) and Berserkers.

  • Beast classes receive normal damage from Knight classes (Sabers, Archers and Lancers) but do class advantaged damage to Knight classes instead.

  • Shielders and Rulers are class neutral and Avengers do neutral damage but have resistance to Beast class damage.

  • Thus, Masters should field their strongest Cavalry class ST Servants. Avengers and Berserkers are also good second best options.

  • It’s always good practice to bring at least one support as well, to keep the frontline buffed and protected.

  • The backline should consist of additional Cavalry class Servants. Consider which Servant among the frontline is likely to die first and order the backline such that the first replacement fulfills the same role.

  • Knight class Servants can be used if your Servant roster lacks good Cavalry options, but will die very quickly and should be used as a last resort.

  • The Chaldea Combat Uniform is excellent here as the Gandr Stun will indirectly reduce the damage to all your Servants and Order Change can be exploited to bring a Servant to safety or to bring in additional buffs.

  • Mystic Codes with an Evasion or Invulnerability are highly useful for Masters who rely on one very powerful (friend) Servant as it can prevent this Servant from dying to Amun-Ra’s NP.
