How to control the salt of gacha?

I've played for 4 month, and still have not much gold servants, and I used all of my sq for gramps and got nothing but ce. Of course it's hurt for me to see some people got gramps. So how to control the salt?

Honestly, I'm not sure if there is an answer for this. I would say the best you can do is try to focus on the servants you really really want, but even then sometimes you get disappointed. I recently spent about 140ish SQ and 20 tickets rolling for Musashi and did not pull her. Worse has happened to other people I know who have played this game so i think salt is pretty unavoidable. Just try to go for the servants you really want and hope for the best.

Also to your point about CEs, yea that really annoyed me. In my rolls I got 7 copies of the First sunrise 5 star CE -_- it is what it is though

Have another hobby to take the attention away from FGO.

I don't think there is a way to control the salt since its the way the gacha game. I started playing this game in early May and I tried to pull my first SSR (Scathach) during the 3m download with 90 SQ and obviously I got nothing, and only three 4* CE, not even a 4 star servant.
It was around the same time after those pull, I came across the simulator on this website and I tried my luck there. Basically what that simulator told me are I need an average of 17 pulls (510SQ) to pull my first SSR, I know that sounds scary, but I guess that's my luck. So from then onward, I started to plan ahead and save lots of SQ to increase my odds to pull my most wanted SSR servants.
Basically these days, I'm not confident enough to pull if I have less than 300 SQ. Yes, I won't have as much SSR as other people, but since I don't have as much luck, I just go for my favorite ones, and increase my odds by saving lots of SQ for them.

But the heartache is much greater if you saved and saved for almost a year and got nothing like me who saved and saved all my sq for merlin and wasn't enough and bought sq and the amount is probably more than 1200 sq and still didn't manage a 5* spook.

I know, I generally read people's salty threads instead of lucky thread and I've read many stories that people spend over 1k SQ and not even one 4 star servants.
Well, everyone is different how they deal with salt, for example, I really like Musashi and Jalter that I pulled, so even I failed next time, I've got 2 of my most wanted servant to keep me in the game, plus a few other welfare servants I really want.
Some people suggest to take a break like some response posted here. that could work for some people. Or perhaps do other stuff you really like, get some fresh air etc.
But with pulls, I generally agreed with some people's suggestions, try to remember the time you pulled your last SSR. Say 8am in the morning, always only pull at that time, and don't try it other time, I find that works for me. Say I tried 2am (game time) Like people suggested, which equals to 8pm my time. So I generally only pull my wanted servant then, even though that's not the reset time, I just have to be patient and not get tempted doing the pull earlier then that.

I would say to look at what you have, and avoid thinking about what you don't have. Take any failed attempts as the expected result, and treat any successful attempts as a pleasant surprise. If you really want the rare servants, the cheapest way would be to buy an account that already has them. They would likely cost you a fraction of what it would take to roll them in the gacha.

Avert the salt by watching comedy shows or memes works everytime for me. Remember in rolling gachas don't expect too much dude cuz less expectation = less salt just continue playing and someday you'll get the servant you wanted.

First of all, keep your expectations low. It IS humanly impossible to roll without expecting to get something good, because deep down that's exactly why we're rolling in the first place. But some people tend to think that they WILL get exactly what they want if they believe (and spend) hard enough, and that is sadly not how this game works. People let a bad roll ruin their days, and they carry this negativity with them until they get what they want. Don't do that. Learn to appreciate what you already have rather than mulling over what you COULD have. Success is all about making the best out of a negative situation.

Try saying "oh well" whenever you get a bad roll and go do something else. As long as the banner is up, you'll have more chances. Don't be discouraged to spend tickets and do single rolls for something you want. Keep saving and keep trying, but also don't forget that there is life outside of FGO. Laugh at your salt rather than agonize over it, and feel happy for the people who got something good rather than feel jealous. Who knows, the roles might reverse on the next banner.

I wish you the best of luck in your future rolls!

From personal experience, try to see a meme about the Servant you're rolling for.

Example; I tried for Musashi and didn't get her so I am without quartz, I decided to try and roll for Gramps with the ticket for the 7 day log in, I click roll, normal rings, a gold assassin card appears, it's Stheno.

Now, I don't like her, especially because I have other assassins that are a lot better than her but I had seen a post about how when rolling for Gramps a lot of people are going to get spooked by her; I remembered that and burst out laughing, wasn't even mad.

In all honesty, the chances of getting a 5 star is 1% and even during rate-ups you could still get a 5 star that isn't the one rated-up; my advice, just try and see what you get but don't get obsessed with 'I must have this Servant!' type of mentality.

I think the best way to control salt is to just maximize the odds, tho this also intensifies the salt lol. I see too many people who expect to get SSRs in 60-120 SQ. You can't think that way and if there is a servant you really want you should bring a lot more quartz. Now the salt can really intensify if you save a bunch and don't get your servant, especially if you are f2p.

Personally I've been on every side of it. I went 6 months and about 1200 SQ between SSRs within my first 8 or so months(The SSR that broke the streak was from a ticket too lol). I got Illya on my first roll followed by Nero Bride on my first roll. Just recently I spent ~800 SQ to not get Quetz and that ran into taking around 700 for Merlin to finally show.

That said just be as prepared as you feel comfortable being(It's about 300 quartz for me), if you're into catalysts find a good one, and believe in the heart of the cards? We are lucky to have the ability to plan ahead so use that to your advantage and grind those bonds! Best of luck!

Don't ever use real money and accept the fact that it's just a mobile game, either that, or embraced the salt and enjoy the salt
