Overview

  • Prepare to face Divine Nezha in Berserker form! Masters should expect a difficult encounter, although it is possible to solo this encounter with various Servants (see videos).
  • Berserker Boss with AoE NP: Nezha is Berserker-class instead of Lancer-class, making her attacks hit hard against most classes, and her AoE NP will deal devastating damage and inflict burn on all targets.
  • Field Debuffs Quick, Buster, Arts, HP Recovery, and Debuff Resist: At battle start, the Lostbelt field effect will debuff all Servants in multiple aspects.
  • Battle Start Evade for a random Ally: A random frontline Servant will gain a 3 time, 3 turn Evade, which will provide some measure of assistance during this encounter.
  • High ATK Debuff of 70% at battle start: The entire party, including the backline, will sustain a 70% ATK debuff that is unremovable, although it automatically removes itself at the end of Turn 5. This can make it difficult to break her first HP bar before turn 5, however.
  • Boss loses HP progressively Turns 1 – 5: During the initial turns, Nezha will lose increasing amounts of HP at the end of each turn that she is capable of acting.
  • Heavily Scripted Encounter: The boss has a rotation of skills starting from Turns 2 through 5, which ultimately results in the boss’s health being reduced drastically at the end of Turn 5. Note these skills use up an action, meaning they can be delayed by stunning Nezha through various means, although they cannot be skipped. Nezha will delay skill usage until the next turn she is able to move and continue in order.
    • Turn 2: ATK + Crit Damage Buffs: Nezha gains both a 50% ATK and 50% Crit Damage buff that are permanent and unremovable.
    • Turn 3: Stun random enemy each turn: Starting from Turn 3 until the end of Turn 5, Nezha will randomly stun a frontline Servant at the end of each turn.
    • Turn 4: Stronger ATK + Crit Damage Buffs: Nezha this time gains both a 100% ATK and 100% Crit damage buff, which are again permanent and unremovable. Be ready to lose a Servant on this turn, she will hit hard!
    • Turn 5: Decrease all enemies’ HP by 5,000: All frontline Servants will get a flat 5,000 damage to their HP; make sure Servants are above 5,000 health or they can be instantly killed by this effect when Nezha uses this skill!
    • End of Turn 5: Remove all permanent buffs and decrease own HP by 300,000: At the end of Turn 5, Nezha effectively runs out of steam, and will lose 300,000 HP. This will likely place her at 1 HP remaining (cannot reduce HP below 1).
  • Break 1: DEF Debuff on self: Nezha will gain a self-afflicted DEF debuff after first break, which will help with damage output against her.
  • Break 2: Further DEF Debuff on self: Nezha gains a greater DEF debuff after second break, which can stack with the prior debuff if it is still active.

Team Recommendations

  • Foreigner DPS has defensive and offensive class advantage, and are excellent choices for this encounter, such as Abigail, Hokusai, and Mysterious Heroine XX. However, given the high amount of offensive buffs the boss will gain, they may still fall if unprotected.
  • DPS capable of Stun is also an alternative, although it will indefinitely delay Nezha’s skill rotation and will need to deal enough damage to defeat her in the face of the 70% ATK debuff. Given that she is Divine, trait bonus damage as well as CEs with Divine bonus damage such as Fondant au Chocolat may help the DPS deal enough damage to the boss (see Scathach 3 turn setup).
  • Taunt Support is particularly useful, and will want to have their taunt up and ready by Turn 4 to tank Nezha’s most damaging normal attacks (during which she will have a total 150% ATK and Crit Damage buff). Given how Taunt works, even if the Servant with Taunt active dies on the first normal attack, the enemy’s turn will still end, buying precious time. Mash, Leonidas, Georgios, or any other Taunt Servant can fill the role well.
  • Evade / Invincibility Support will help the party weather the storm of Nezha’s attacks and NP, given that Nezha does not have a way of circumventing these defensive techniques.
  • Debuff Clear Support is also useful to bring to deal with the random Stun that may target a Servant starting on Turn 3, who might otherwise be crucial in having their Taunt skill or Evade/Invincibility available.
  • Damage / NP Gauge Support as usual are helpful for dealing with the boss quickly. Merlin, Skadi, Zhuge Liang, and Tamamo are all excellent options, with Merlin also providing the party with Invincibility if needed.
