So I just recently used all my quartz on the summer banner to hopefully get squirtoria (sadly didn't get her but got tamamo no mae which is a great alternative I guess) and I was wondering if I would have a decent amount to roll for both the next jalter and merlin rate up banners or should I just pick one to save up for.

It depends on how lucky you get in your rolls I was gonna spend all my quartz to get squirtoria but i got her on my 8th ticket. You will probably get a decent amount of quartz and summoning tickets to attempt a decent amount of times for both. However if you to go all out for one of them i was go for Jalter due to the fact that everyone will save for merlin and you could use him as a support.
To be fair there are already a million Jalters out there on support too so its not like you can't go for Merlin and just use her for support either.
Well, the opposite is also true, if not more so, the support list will basically be 40% Merlin 40% Waver 20% everything else. Also, if the servant is top tier, you could probably find quite a few of them very easily. The only servants you'd have genuine trouble finding are the ones with low gameplay value anyway.
You can get 6 sq + 1 ticket per week with login bonus. If you already got the one from every free quest then your only choice to get more is by bond points, apologems and events.
Yeah OP, depends on luck. If you are going to save though, you can pretty much only save for Merlin, since Jalter is only about a month away. That said, you could just spend everything on Jalter and then start saving for Merlin after that. By my calculations, we should get her around September 18th or so, which gives you about 2 and a half months to save for Merlin.
If you don't spend on anything between now and Merlin, I think you should have something close to 200 quartz by the time he comes around. Adding tickets, I would say maybe 20 - 30? If you are comfortable with those numbers, then roll for Jalter. This will be her last solo rate-up for a while, so it's definitely worth it.
My advice would be to make a budget for Jalter and don't exceed that. Then save the rest for Merlin.
Personally since you are f2p like me, I recommend rolling for Jeanne, since you can rank up just one of her skills for her to be great and she scales really well off levels. Merlin being a support needs much more investment in his skills to reduce their cooldowns.
At least that's how I see it since I have much more trouble getting skills ranked up than levels.
