For me, i’ve spent around $160 and the best i could pull was Blavatsky, but somehow whenever i did a single pull, i got Tamamo, Shuten Douji (2x), Ozy, Jeanne (2x but one was from the GSSR), and hopefully the same goes on with the musashi banner i’m saving up for
If this is about singles vs. multis, my results also favour singles. I lucked out once getting 2 SSRs in one multi, but that's never happened since and both my other 2 SSRs I got from multis required 6-7 of them to show up. On the last north american banner, I did 7 singles, 4 of them were SR servants, while I did 2 multis, and the best out of those 2 only gave me 3 SR CEs.
This. my rolls pretty much like your situation. Roll for 3x10 grand summon only getting some CE and 2 SR. Feels really desperate, i tried single roll for one roll and i saw 1 glowing SSR Archer. I'm feel curious, what will happened if i do single roll for 5 more times? The result is almost same as before, i got 2 SR.
Some people have luck in multi rolls and some have luck in single roll.
I once spent $80 on the Saber class banner to get a gold star Saber (I had none), but I only got silver sabers so many silver sabers. I mean, I got some mana prisms out of them, but I felt awful afterwards, and ever since then, I've been feeling rather demotivated to roll on anything but friend point gacha.
Funnily enough, I actually managed to get a 5 star Saber, Nero Bride, during Nero fest using 1 summoning ticket and 3 quartz, though I still have no trust in the sq gacha.
Honestly my luck has favored the 10 pulls. While I pulled a Medb, waver, and tamamo with single pulls, I got Gil on my first 10 pull, altria on my 2nd, Vlad on my 3rd, and I've also gotten Nero bride, Orion, and 3 jalters from 10 pulls 2 of which were in the same 10 pull. It depends on the person.
What they say about the 10 rolls are somewhat disingenuous. The ten roll ONLY really increases your rate of getting a four star craft essence.
The guarantee itself only applies if on the last roll you have not already gotten a 3 star servant or 4 star item yet which means it is rare to even be used and worse, the odds of getting 5 stars or 4 star servants are unchanged (so that on 3 star servant guarantee for instance has a 95% chance to be 3 star and 4% 4 star and 1% 5 star).
Thus, only when you want 4 star craft essences like for events and such should you need to 10 pull. If you are however, ONLY trying to get a specific servant then single pulls are better.
This is because your rate of getting him/her is unchanged and you have the benefit of stopping immediately once you get him (which can be a small savings of quartz).
One detail, single over multi will only potentially save SQ given you actually obtain the target servant, making the expected SQ savings much lower. For this reason, I'd say multi is favored given the choice because even 4* CE's can be useful.
I've never received anything worthwhile from singles except from a single Xuanzang. Most of my success were from 10 rolls.
I guess my RNG from singles is fucked.
