I've hadsimilar issues before and yesterday was the second time for me.
Just to give more details:
1) I tried adding Shinjuku Archer and the last time it happened to me, it was MHXA during the Valentines event.
2) Not sure if this matters but I tried adding them at level 1, target level 90, and set all skills to 1 with a target of 10.
2.1) related to above, I thought the error might be because level 1 doesn't have the 2nd and 3rd skills yet so I set those skills to 'N/A' but I still got an error. Setting all three skills to N/A got it working however.
