So, how do the resists work?

To no avail I have been trying to figure out how do the resists work. For example if I have the first has an who has the 5% chance of killing the enem, if the enemy has a death resist of 100% is there no chance of it dying to this effect or is it 5%, or is it just something else that I can't comprehend right now? Could someone please try to explain this to me? I tried to find the answer from wiki but didn't succeed. TT_TT

Also, after reading this I do realize how nonsensical this is. However English is not my first language and I would appreciate if you wouldn't judge me for it.

Death resist of 100% means that it is immune to instant death no matter how high the chance of death is. I think you need to use a skill to lower their death resistance for it to have a chance of working.

It's the other way around, you multiply (you can google the exact formula) by the death resist. Thus flunky mobs with 100% death resist will die very often to Instant Death, while Dragon bosses with 1% will utterly refuse to.

Right... Shouldn't have answered while I was half asleep. :P

Since he mentioned 'Death RESIST' my mind went with it rather than realizing he meant death RATE. XD

So I googled a little and found a reddit post, apparently the formula works like:

hitRate * deathRate * (1 - InstantDeathResistUp + InstantDeathResistDown)

hitRate: Chance of Insta-death of the NP
deathRate: It's the Death Rate of the target
Resist up/Resist down: Buffs or debuffs for instakill (i.e. Hassan's 3rd Skill, Shiki's 1st Skill)

Like someone mentioned above, it's pretty much the other way around, you have to multiply by the resist.

There's more detailed info and examples in the link, if you want to read more into it.

Still, instant death is pretty much a nice bonus to have on something every now and then, you shouldn't rely on it, but it's good to take in consideration, specially with AOE servants like Nitocris or Arjuna for farming trash mobs and faster waveclearing.
