Stacking buffs

I've been playing for a long time but I recently wonder if the outcome damage would change when you stack buffs in a specific order. For example, will the dmg change if i activate buster buff before attack buff or vice versa?

I think no, since overall there is only one damage equation existed in FGO, so buffing order wont change damage. Although that equation is a bit complicated.

Buff stacking order is not important but card order is. For example, if you want to maximize buster card damage and have a buster buff, put that card last in the chain.

The answer to that is actually complicated, due to the fact that cards following an initial Buster card (excluding NPs) get a 50% damage bonus. So getting the initial Buster bonus might be better than just having the extra Buster up damage as a 3rd card.

If you look at https://pastebin.com/raw/TP1wHpZE, and presuming it was done correctly, you'll see that without buffs, that Heracles produces significantly more damage with BQA than QAB or AQB.

Would like to clarify that bit where you mention "excluding NPs" to avoid some confusion. What is meant by this is that NP cards cannot receive buffs depending on their order but they can give them; so placing a buster NP at the start of the chain will grant that 50% damage bonus to the cards that follow just like a regular buster card. This is why it's usually advised to place an NP card at the beginning of a chain (of course this depends on the card type and desired effect).

Nope. Just think of it like a basic math equation. 3 x 2 and 2 x 3 both equal 6.
