Depends in which singularity you're. Usually, before the release of a new Singularity we have a week of 1/2 AP for main story, so you can rush the story through that week.

Story or MP Grind?
In a quite of a dilemma here. I just realized for the upcoming Solomon singularity at the end of the year, I need to complete Babylonia (not released yet) to participate and get the 30 free sq. But I also need Chaldea Lunchtime CEs, and so far I bought 2 and 300 MP away from the third.
Should I prioritize the stories or MP? Thanks!

I personally did the Story ( just finished Camelot three hours ago) but I only need 1200 more Prisms which I'm sure I can get in the next 90 days. However It's worth noting there will likely be a half AP story event near the release of Babylonia so as long as your up to E Pluribus Unum, or don't mind burning apples you should be able to catch up pretty quickly.

Am not following is Solomon singularity an event? If it's part of the story shouldn't it be always available once released, am I missing something?

Yes, is part of the story, will stay there ofc, but if you beat it before the new years, you get 30 free SQ.

You should have time to finish as long as you can reliably clear quests without multiple attempts. I was near the end of America at the end of Nerofest and spent the week doing story instead of ember (MP) farming. Combined with a level up and a few bronze apples, I caught up. So especially with a half AP story event you have plenty of time.
