NP Overcharge

I'm new to this game and I've been always confused about how NP overcharge works... take Chloe's NP as an example. At NP lv 5, if I only charge her to 100%, how much damage (from the chart) is it going to be? And the NP damage charged from 100% to 199% would be no difference?

Additionally, I don't quite understand how Devilish Bodhisattva this CE works either..

Please help! Many thanks :)

The damage will always be 1500% no matter the Overcharge level. Only the crit chance reduction portion is affected by overcharge. So no matter how low or high her overcharge is, Chloe's damage will remain the same.

The CE you mentioned automatically increases OC level by 200%. So if you had Chloe as 200% OC already, the CE would increase it to its 400% effect the first time you used her noble phantasm.

At NP5 she will always do 1500% damage. This is the huge benefit found in welfare servants because they're always doing their maximum NP damage. The overcharge effect, which is always the bottom row of that chart, is determined by the amount of charge you have. It goes in stages of 100% so you need to have hit the next tier in order to gain that effect; ie. 199% will not give you the tier 2 overcharge effect.

Devilish Bodhisattva is a useful CE because it allows the first NP you use to always have +200% overcharge effect. So without NP chain, you can think of it as always giving you the 300% tier effect on your first NP use. In Chloe's case, using that CE will grant her the -40% crit chance debuff on enemies for the first use. You always get the damage benefit of your servant's NP level regardless of charge, so the CE only effects the overcharge effect.

So NP level determines the damage. That won't change so Chole NP will hit with the 1500%. The overcharge will affect the the crit chance down. So at 100% it will be 20% down on crit chance. At 500% overcharge it will be 60% down on crit chance. So pretty much the NP level affects damage and the overcharge will strengthen what ever overcharge effect that NP has.

The top and bottom table is meant to read separately. The top two columns display damage for respective np level. So np5 Chloe will have 1500% damage. The bottom two columns display bonus effect for overcharge. At 100% charge and no np chain, Chloe will decrease 20% crit chance. However, if Chloe np at the last(third) np chain with 100% charge, she will decrease 40% crit chance. If Chloe np at the last(third) np chain with 300% charge, she will decrease 60% crit chance. And yes, there is no difference from 100% to 199% charge.

As a note to the page authors, the table should be visually split so that it doesn't seem like level and charge are related. I know when I first started playing, this was confusing to me as well.

The only time that overcharge will increase the np damage is when the overcharge effect gives you an attack up buff or the enemy a defense down debuff before the np goes off. Those are the servants who really benefit from the devilish bodhisattva if you want to pack a major punch.
