Salter Team Comp Advice?

Hi, so I've tried a few team comps with Mashu, Robin, and a support Merlin, but I haven't gotten close. The farthest I've gotten is just past the first breakbar before my entire team is wiped out.

My Robin only has lvl5 Harp of Healing, and all of the support Merlins on my friend list only have lvl2 Illusion at most, so the budget team comp suggestion on the guide isn't exactly viable atm (I'm farming homunculus babies right now, but I still won't have enough to both get Harp to lvl6 ad ascend him to the lvl60 cap)

My main questions are, can I feasibly beat Salter? Should I just focus on prepping for Shinjuku at this point? Can anyone lend me a maxed Merlin or maybe a Jeanne?

Thanks in advanced,
Fox

You have a Robin Hood with Harp of Healing? Am I missing something here?

Anyway, I have a 6/2/6 Jeanne and a 7/10/10 Lv 90 Kuro.

I have a max HP-fou Jeanne if you'd like. 6/1/6. Also a waver at 5/3/4, but he's not at max level yet.

I managed it (barely) using Kuro, Jeanne, Mash, David and Tristan with a friend's Merlin. Even if they are at slightly lower levels, Harp of Healing is strong enough to make it worth bringing David or Tristan to the fight, imo. Salter will focus on any caster you have so someone with a bit of survivability themselves like caster Cu can help direct her wrath away from your damage dealers. Using your command spells or a SQ for a revive isn't bad either, they're meant for hard fights.
Good luck!

David is the one who has harp of healing.

As for team comps, Im not too happy about it but I had to borrow a friends near maxed Merlin. I used Merlin, Chloe, Hans, Mash, Irisviel and Anne & Mary Archer with the atlas mystic code and still had to use command seals to revive the team. I got both break bars down and some before that though. A lot of it comes down to rng depending on which caster she targets more but keep Merlin alive if you can borrow him. This team has a lot of sustain. Use cd reduction from mystic code on Merlin as soon as you use his Invincibility skill. Try to have it up for her np, but even then Chloe will survive with a defense boost. Chloe/Robin have an evade, Merlin has team invincibility, atlas mystic code has invincibility, Mash can grant invincibility plus buffs, Hans for sustain and buffs. Irisviel grants the team guts but its not as reliable, thats why she’s in the back. Once Merlin gets going it gets easier bc he can spam his np and help Chloe and Hans/Mash/Iri spam theirs. David will arguably be better than my ann and mary bc his team evade/heal/cleanse and non gimmicky np. Chloe and Iri were welfare but if you dont have them maybe Robin hood can take Chloes place. Exploit the fact that saber will always target casters first but keep Merlin alive. Maybe Herc in the back, especially if he has his bond Ce. Charge drain can help stall, this is basically a stall/ survival battle. I wouldn’t use command seals unless you’re absolutely sure you can finish the fight, so maybe do it a few times and see how far you can get before that. If you manage to break both bars and some, it may be worth using them but last thing you want is to use them and still lose. Remember though that command seals bring everyone back with 100% np as well. Using quartz for a ticket isn’t worth it imo. I wouldn’t stress to hard about not being able to beat it, it’s NAs first break bar implementation and the hardest challenge quest to date, plus we dont have the luxury of having many strengthenings and interludes that jp had. In the end, It’s just one summoning ticket although the quest is only 5 ap so you can keep on trying.

Thanks for the advice. I unlocked the Mystic Code and am about to start testing team comps.

I think it might be worth considering using Herc at the front for this fight. Salter prioritises casters, so his berserker class disadvantage wouldn't be much of a problem, you would only have to dodge NPs. Assuming you took a support Merlin, you would have the teamwide Invincibility, plus Hercs own Evade and Guts to use on NP turns. Depending on what your skill countdowns are like, you might be able to spin it so you always have one available. Plus you would then be able to benefit from using Hero Creation EX on NP Brave Chains by Herc.

You probably want to try and keep arts chains going to keep Merlins NP up and refilling NP, so another arts focused servant would be useful. Plus, with a 2nd caster, Salter will split her normal attacks between them and will be less likely to focus one of them down. So I think Hans might make sense here. His NP gives healing and an Atk/Def bonus, plus his skills let him use his NP more and generate extra stars, on top of the ones Merlin generates. With Merlin and Hans you would have 2 arts NPs and 7 arts cards in your pool, so you should be able to NP a fair bit.

And then on a Herc NPBB turn you should have plenty of stars and attack buffs from Hercs skill/Hans NP, plus the buster buff and Crit strength from Hero Creation.

I used Cu Alter/Merlin/Tamamo, and that worked in a similar way, namely Arts Chains every turn for NP gauge then use Hero Creation on a NPBB turn with Cu Alter, then back to Arts chaining. Hans has less HP though, so might be risky, but you would have more stars than I did, so you might be critting more.

I would take Mashu in the backline to sub if you lose Hans, she can still help out a lot with arts chaining, and the Def skill will help keep Merlin alive, but Salter will be focused on him since he'll be the only caster at that point. David seems like a solid choice too with his Evade skill Def up and 3 arts deck.

For mystic codes, I think the Atlas uniform makes sense if you have it, since it can give you invincibility for a servant, or you can use the skill cooldown reduction on Merlin/David to bring back their team evades back sooner if needed.

When I did it, I used double Merlin + David, and even with between 4-6 GoA's stacked the whole fight, I needed to reserve both Merlins' Buster buff skill as emergency heals for the Merlins--and still had to use all 3 command seals to heal a Merlin as she would occasionally focus and crit one down to 2k health. As much as I adore Hans in the past, I very much doubt he could survive--his DEF up is on RNG, his heal isn't as long duration, and with only 2 or so GoA's active, the NP charge you get would be around only 10%/turn rather than 20%+ like I managed.

Plus with only one Merlin, it would depend on the CD on his and David's invincibility skill. With the extra charges from her NP and break bars, to be safe you'd probably need to have servants with both of these at L10 (7 and 6 turn CDs, respectively) to be safe. I got by with my Merlin still only having 9 turns and my support Merlin at 8 because I also had David, so between these we covered her NPs.

The Atlas suit is indeed probably the best, but with a 15 turn CD on the CD reduction skill (until you get to L6 which I haven't), it would all depend on how often it needed to be used. On a stall team, it's probably good for a few--and probably held in reserve if your CDs are on the edge and her break shortens it by 1.

Try david hans support merlin with king hassan mash herc. Look to raise david fully especially the team evade to at least 6. Prioritize survival. Have chaldea combat uniform.
Or jeanne mash david. Have the default mystic code for frequent evade and heals. Will take much longer
