FGO is basically the first gacha I've played much. I started maybe a year ago, and my first few rolls were done with no particular goal in mind. About a month in, I made a fateful decision: I rolled on my first real banner.

Now, I knew 5’s were rare, so when I got one a month in, I was like, cool. Any 5 is better than none, even if she's not supposed to be great. I came around to her after a while cause she's effin' funny and has a good look and slaps the hell outta people.
Some months later, one of the guaranteed SSR banners came up and I decided the game had provided me enough entertainment to be worth some skrilla. Besides, Jack and Evil Cu on the same banner? Hell’s yeah.
Me: *shells out cash. Rolls*
Queen Medb: Hi again sweetie! Did you buy all this quartz with real actual money just for me!? Ohh, you shouldn't ha...what was I saying?
Me: ...
I still don’t have a decent single-target assassin.
More time passed and I picked up a few other 5s (2 Squirtgun Arturias and a bonus Beach Martha, hurray!) I saved up for Gramps and didn't get him, rolled another paid gacha for Evil Cu, got Vlad, and was quite disappointed to find that my NP 3 Tamato Cat outperforms him in almost every way. Perhaps that was what led me astray…
A part of my misguided quest for a proper berserker and maybe another Rama or two (love that guy), I rolled on the recent America banner. I knew the risks, just couldn't stop myself. I needed some gacha!
Me: *has the shakes from having not rolled for too long, still upset about the Vlad situation. Throws the current stash (90 sq) into the summon hole*
25 cards of complete trash. Then, some good CEs. And then, on the very last draw…
QUEEN EFFING MEDB: HAHAHAHAHA I can’t believe you rolled on this! You knew what would happen! Now bring your sexy ass over here and pour that quartz all over me!

I'm pretty sure this means me and Medb are married now. Well, at least she's got some more buffs on the way.
For reals though, I’m actually pretty happy about it. I’d rather have a fun team and some good stories than a perfect team and nothing else.
Wish Medb would spook me though my story is the same just with Nightingale instead. The only one on the GSSR back in July of the Horseman that I had was Nightingale and sure enough I pull her, I was close to quitting the game that day...

Seriously though, at least you got useful Servants. Better than getting trolled by someone like Fionn. Medb will get her skills buffed this year at least so that's someting you can look forward to.
this is hilarious... but i hope you can get more opportunities for more SSRs in the future!!
Your story makes me think each account has a certain tendency to pull certain servants, because what you've experienced with Medb I've experienced with Tamamo no Mae. Granted the first time I aimed for her was in a GSSR and got her, a year later I now have her NP5 without trying... Mikon!!

Noice! All the Tamamo I've gotten is the cat. Not complaining, she's a solid farmer, but dammit I could use a proper support.
I have 5 5*s, one is the godly support Waver, ALL the others are fucking Lancers (Tamalancer, Lartoria, Enkidu, Karna).
Tamalancer and Lartoria I got while rolling for Arche Anne and Tristan. Chloe is the only golden archer I have (thank god every silver archer is good). Enkidu and Karna I got rolling for Casgil (I did got him in the end).
I never choose the lancer life, the lancer life choose me. almost every lancer in the game from Fionn to Cu's is mine, sans Vlad and Liz. I still need golden archers...
Hah! Jeez. But yeah, I've been plagued with Riders since I started. Finally got my first worthwhile gold lancer in Other Vlad recently.
