Hans vs Helena

So i was thinking of supports I could raise and the option of raising helena I just got came up. I already have a nearly maxed hans which was my comparison to helena. Somehow though, despite being 2* ahead of hans, helena seems much worse as a support. Her star generating skill stays at 5 per turn no matter what, which hans can do at lvl 9 but in three turns, and with a much lower cooldown time. Hans Crit is comparable to helenas card buff, though kinda situational since crit is not guaranteed. Third point which seperates them is helenas np guage gain is teamwide while hans if personal. Finally the nps, helena has a aoe dmg np while hans has a team buff np. When you think support, you dont usually think of np doing dmg so helena looses there (i think).
Basically, my question is.....in what way is helena better of a support than hans? (since it seems she is quite bad as a support from my point of view)

Helena has on demand NP charge and offensive AoE NP. And um... she's a 4-star. That's... really it.

Hans' overall value for buffs is probably better than Helena, but she certainly isn't bad support. Her second skill is pretty awful and each skill is bogged down with a ridiculously high cooldown despite being lower in value than, say, Waver's skills. 3-turn buff to all cards is no joke though and NP charge is still NP charge.

Helena's only upsides compared to Hans is her higher HP and ATK stats.

Hans can heal and give crit stars (his NP also increases star drop rate for the whole party) and his NP has a fairly high chance of buffing ATK and DEF. His skills also have lower cooldowns compared to Helena and, if you save it instead of using it immediately, his Rapid Casting can let him use his NP almost whenever you need it, provided he already has some built up.

Helena isn't completely useless, but I only use her for farming rather than tough fights.

Teamwide np gain and BAQ+20% is really useful and can be paired with nearly anyone, helena excels on farming due to her having aoe np which deals debuffs at the same time if ever the target aint killed + the 80% chance of upping her np damage by 50% which will deal absurd damage on assassins and zerks (not to mention her upcoming rank up which will make her np ignore defense and more atk)

Many others prefer hans tho since he gives heal and a steady stream of crit stars, as expected of his character he dont give crap on what the enemy is and let the others fight for his stead lol (a full support servant albeit a bit more squishy due to innocent monster)... plus he's 2 star so he can also comfortably sit along with 5* servants to do his bidding

Tldr; if ye want a full support servant go hans, if you want to have a semi support offensive (that leans a bit more unto offensive) go helena and if you want a semisupport offensive (which leans more unto support) go for casgil if you ever get him in the future, his np is awesome btw

Why not raise for both ? Both of them are amazing, My Hans is lvl 65 10/10/10 and Helena is lvl 80 10/10/10. Their job is support but their specialty is not the same.
Imagine you're using any DPS if you have both of them maxed.

Helena is for farming, shorter fight, fast paced fight or OTK style.
Hans is for sustained, general, Crit supp and stall team.

Each servants has it's own weakness, you can cover your weakness if you're making the right team based on the situations.

Like one the guys said, Helena is a semi support Offensive unit and Hans is a full fledged support.
Servants is like a tool and you're the brain here !

I had Helena when I started the game and didn't raise her until a year later. I really regret waiting so long because she's a super good unit. She's not as generally useful as Hans, but because I run her and Ozy together, I often don't need a support Waver to run farming teams. Her NP charge team ability and team performance buffs are not to be underestimated.

And even more than that, she's an amazing unit to fire off at the start of an NP chain. Her debuffs are noticeable when you put a strong NP damage dealer after her NP. She's a great unit! But she's not a healer like Hans so I don't think you should really compare them. She's more of a performance booster and debuffer.

The amount of really tough fights where Hans' healing and support is actually needed is not so high in this game. Helena is great for easier battles to speed them up. On paper her skills are perhaps inferior, but it is really nice to be able to 3-turn your dailies because Helena can charge your party's NP and afterwards clear one wave on her own as well.
