So I’m asking this one out of curiosity even though I think Nero will EASILY win.

I’m curious though cause people have always been favoring farming servants. Nero Bride though is so unique as a support saber. I guess the question I want to see for sure is if people actually value a support from this class, or would rather have one of the strongest farmers and leave the support to other classes.

Altera was kind of the only saber I felt I could put Nero against. Okita and Musashi are too strong and have unique abilities in the class. Mordred and other AOE Sabers were just too weak.

As I said though, just want to see if Nero Bride’s unique support wins out easily in this one. Altera has potential for high, one turn damage and strong base stats among the saber class, so she’s no slouch. Nero does not have the hardest hitting NP and it’s usually not her that gets the benefits in her targetable buffs, at least in my personal experience lol.

I have Altera at NP3 (all spooks) and her NP damage, coupled with her skills, is really, really nice. Her recent strengthening really helped her put in my opinion- a NPBB chain with some crits will hurt.

But my vote has to go to Nero Bride here. Her skills, taken together, are amazing. Attack up, heal, NP gain, defense, crit star generation (except for heal, all of them 3 turns). And all of them are targetable- throw them at whatever you want. With a damaging NP, she really helps out any team, but especially arts teams.

Altera only does damage- she does it very well, but that's all she does- while Bride is for damage or support. Put her in the 4th spot on your roster, and whoever dies first has a pretty good replacement. I vote Bride.

I'm going to go with the UMU here, because Altera just ins't that great or unique of a character. She might be able to spike a big chunk of damage, with an NP BB chain, but since Musashi can do the same with a single target NP, she's outclassed there. She also isn't as good at farming as a lot of the other 5 star Sabers, like Mordy (or Artoria when she gets her buff). She also doesn't generate her NP in any meaningful way. So she's kind of a one and done deal, which isn't great for harder farming or Boss fights. She also has zero survival outside of a heal and a mental debuff resist.

Umu on the other hand is also kind of split, but she's split in a more unique way, between damage and support. She's relatively unique in that case. (only competing with Caesar) She also is the only Arts SSR saber, and she can generate NP and stars fairly well, especially if she uses her buffs. She also can give herself (or anyone on the team) a neat little defense buff tied to her heal, which means she has at least some defensive means.

By all means, Altera is an amazing farmer, and can deal insane burst AoE damage with her NP steroid, and possesses the means to protect herself as well. However, her skill set is rather selfish and she loses her edge once her skills are all used up, and her unspecialized position leaves her as a one-hit wonder.

However, Nero's pseudo-support role is a helpful addition to any team, and building a proper team around her will allow her to really make her presence known. However, I do have to point out that despite her supportive capabilities, her damage potential is high as well, and this places her in an odd position, but a useful one nonetheless as she can give her support with both her buffs and her NP to cut down bosses' health bars.

Overall, Nero takes my place over Altera because while Altera is an amazing damage-dealer, Nero can hit just as hard and allow her teammates to shine even more.

I don't have either of these, and considering I have baber alter max grailed and Mordred (both in my opinion the best are sabers in their rarity) I have never needed to use altera. I have used her just to see what she was like, but I still value Mordred higher than her.

Umu bride however, with her skills and the fact you can spam her np if you luck out on np-aa cards multiple times. Saberlot can go on par with this, but she still is great with those support skills.

So yeah. I'd use umu more often if her and altera were right next to each other in my friends list.

Umu of course!

Altera is powerful, no doubt about that. But after using her a bit I don't really see the appeal. Her skills set her up as a burst Buster-crit servant who can give herself a small supply of crit stars, but that seems to be it. She doesn't offer much asides from great farming ability.

Nero is a support/DPS hybrid with three different, useful, and targetable buffs. They may only work on one Servant each, but they work well enough and, with help from a dedicated support, the main DPS will have much less to worry about. Her unbuffed NP gain isn't too bad either and her NP has 3 useful overcharge effects (500HP burn which becomes 1k after interlude, Def debuff, and crit chance debuff) that helps the party both offensively and defensively.

Nero Bride. While as single target NP saber she weaker than musashi and Okita, her support utility is quite good. 45% increase in NP gain will allow you to use and loop NP, 40% atk up is one of the highest atk gain around + 44% critical star gain is very nice. While the heal is not bad 3k hp + 20% def up can let you live longer.

Yeah gotta go with Nero, Altera’s good but there are plenty of other Sabers who can fill her role and do what she does. Where as Nero doesn’t really have much competition in the Saber class that can either buff themselves or function as a support to another better damage dealer.

Initially I didn't think much of Bride, I got her accidentally in a couple of tickets while fishing for farm Ces during Nero Fest, and I'm sure glad that I did. the girl really grow on me...
All her skills are targetable, so that brings a huge flexibility to the team. You can put her on 4th slot and she can take either the role of the support or the damage dealer depending on who dies first.
She also plays really nice in art teams, tamamo + bride + [art damage dealer] is a team to be feared.
In case is not obvious my vote goes to Bride without thinking twice.

I would actually say Altera, mosty because I prefer wave-clearing servants and while Nero Bride certainly isn't bad support, all of her skills being single target rather than party-wide limits her effectiveness in the support role.

Altera, on the other hand, breaks through waves of enemies nicely, while also having a star gather skill and on-demand star generation. She's simple, but extremely effective. I've come to like her a lot.

This is a hard one for me. The best saber I have is Caesar, but he too is largely offensive support, and I also lack any really good AoE saber, though I am leveling Fergus right now to see how well he can do. So, as such, I would be mainly in the market for a good main damage dealer, and Altera works very well for me in day-to-day farming. While I can see Nero's usefulness as a support hybrid, in anything tough I'd probably tend to use full supports like Waver, Mash, Merlin, or Tamamo (who I don't have, BTW), and go to my friends list for Lancelot, Rama, Musashi, etc. This would relegate Nero to backline duties only, even though I typically like having my own supports.

So right now, I see Altera as being most useful to me.
