Using saint quartz for revival

When you run out of command spells to revive your dead team, is it better to suck it up and use a saint quartz to revive or to withdraw and try again another time? I just used one for the fight with Mordred in the last part of Camelot and I feel like such a weakling.

Generally it is advised not to for story chapters since they'll always be there.

For limited time events? Sure, I do it all the time. 100%'ing events is important to me so I have no problem burning a few quartz.

typically it's better to withdraw, because think of it this way, say a quest is 21 AP (since you're in Camelot), and you have a max AP of about 100, if you withdraw and use a quartz for AP instead of a revive, that's 5 attempts and you're bound to get lucky in one of those 5, plus you can use an apple instead to save your sq this way.

there's nothing wrong with using sq if you think a battle is just that hard though, the aoe np spam can get overwhelming, so of all the fights that's a fair one to just want to be done with imo. this is a single player game with the exception of very few events, so you're always free to spend your rescources however you want. Never feel bad about what you choose to spend your stuff on.

i would say no, BUT here's a tip for more difficult levels:
if something goes wrong just close and restart the game before the round ends and u "reset" to the beginning of whatever round u left off

Its okay for like 40 ap quest if u not see ANY another option and its not free quest\ u already got some good drops like CE in event . If there any little chanse to win would be better swap team comp\support and try again. Sorry for my amazing english skills

I will never use one for reviving. They are simply too precious. Unless you are a whale who spends on them regularly, I would advise against doing this. If I am going to lose, then I'll take the loss over losing SQ.

as for me, I only use quartz on gatcha. When I got wiped out on a 40ap quest I only use command spells BUT only if I get the drop im looking for, otherwise, I suck it up and try again later. My friend from jp said Quartz are hard to earn so I guess that's why. And now that Im on end game and all fq are gone, I can say he is so damn right.

I've done, usually to clear a real PITA challenge/story quest if I'm very close to the end, and it's not just bad RNG or a play mistake that killed me, so there's no guarantee that I'd do any better the next time.

Unless you're a whale, don't do this.

The only possible reason to do this would be a time-limited event with some reward you *really* want, and you're running out of time.

For normal story quests? Well, obviously, you want to burn your command seals first, so if there's a quest that's too tough even with all 3 command seals, you're probably better off backing off, reconsidering your strategy or focusing on leveling up for a while, because odds are that's not the only quest that'll give you problems, and paying to beat all of them isn't a good strategy for non-whales.

Same as most people, I only use my SQ on gacha banners, because that's the reason you're playing this game, right? To get to play with your most wanted servants, waifu, husbando what so ever. I would rather at least keep 1-2 gold apples for this type of situation. If you want to get the rewards from time limited events but struggle to finish it, just watch youtubers how they do it, and you have these apples to refill your AP to finish these quests

I second this, there're are also lots of veterans who can help. I believe OP is not as weak as she/he thinks, it's just there is still not enough work poured into it ( challenge quest, harder contents and etc ) yet. YouTube FGO videos also have a tons of useful info on there.
Gamepress also can be a big help.

Even veterans is a beginner in their past and they've been passing lots of struggles.
Simply almost all peoples have been through this, no exceptions.

More than a year ago, i defeated so hard by Orleans Jalter ( i used all CS and some SQs ), painful, salt and bitter experience can make us stronger.
I'm even beaten really hard on NA first Nero Fest, Nerofest 2017.

Like mentioned before, OP can consider to change their set up and strategies. Because there are lots of ways to clear contents in this game.

The success rate on the gacha is so bad here that I don't feel spending 1/3 of a pull that has an 80% chance of a 3* card to be a big factor to me. If there's a quest blocking a path and it's a PITA fight, I'd rather just win it than have to do it over.
