So, Merlin is the obvious choice as far as who's best goes and such. As for Helena and Nitocris, I'd personally lean towards Nito. The reason why is because once she's leveled and has decent levels in her skills, she becomes the farming master basically. That said, you wouldn't be going wrong by doing Helena first either. If you think you need a support/dps hybrid more, I'd go for Helena. If you want someone who trivializes farming, go with Nito.
Which caster should I raise?
So recently, the gacha has been pouring casters into my Chaldea and now I'm at a loss for what caster to raise. I have to choose between nitocris and helena but I'm not sure which one to raise since they both have aoe noble phantasms that could help me with farming. I also am raising Merlin at the same time so I am very pressed for pages. Any tips on who I should raise first?
P.S: I already have a levelled hans (not at 10/10/10 though)
Pretty much, i've been also through this as well. But yours only the beginning.
I have Helena NP 2, Edison NP 2, Hans, Medea Lily, Gil Caster, Mozart, Paracelsus, Wiliam.
DPS Caster like Elizabeth, Medea and Caster Chu.
All max ascended, Gil lvl 50 ( i recently got him ), Edison lvl 60 ( not my priority, Helena and Gilgamesh is better but i'll raise him after Gil cas is maxed ).
Hans is good for almost all kinds of teams but a second support can make everything easier and you also have Merlin and Helena. They'll make your game into ''very easy'' mode.
Raise all of them ! Caster with supporting kit like Merlin ( no comment ) and Helena is a top priority.
Nito can only farm and Clearing wave but Helena can support your team, Clearing wave and farming as well.
Also utility wise Helena beat Nito, enemy classes and level is also a deciding factor.
Merlin > Helena > Nitocris.
Don't forget about your Hans, he is truly my MVP in almost any battle ecept for farming.
Bonus : having lots of Caster sucks !
Between the 2, Helena. Nitocris is a gimmicky and specific tool. If I have to compare, she's like the avocado scooper that your great auntir got you for Christmas. It's not a bad tool. Its just a very particular tool, and probably a normal spoon could do it.
People are very indifferent to Helena and throw some shade her way whenever talking about the great supports like waver and merlin. She's still solid in her own rights, and does pretty decent np damage with good effects on top.
Merlin if you need help with challenging content.
Helena if you want to speed up farming.
IMO Helena is actually the better "farmer" since using her skill you can charge your whole party's NP, whereas Nito can only charge her own. Plus, Helena has an attack buff to increase your party's NP damage, which also helps for wave clearing.
Nitocris is very handy for farming and wave clearing. In fact better than most casters especially against mixed class enemies due to the instant death effects. Just keep in mind that it is highly effective against bronze, usually effective against silver, and sometimes effective against gold enemies.
I haven't played much with Helena, but I love servants with party np up skills and would raise her if I had her (especially if I still don't have merlin, waver or ozy).
