Table of Contents

Lancer Altria has a fairly straightforward skillset, having the standard Mana Burst-Charisma buff combination of her other versions, as well as an NP charge skill which also clears any debuffs affecting her. All of these make Altria relatively easy to use, while still having a good amount of flexibility through her debuff removal. Her NP itself has two secondary effects in the form of Invincibility Pierce and NP charge refund, the latter of which allows her to spam her NP to some extent.

However, although a large part of Altria’s kit seems to imply a focus on her NP, its damage is nothing to write home about without her Mana Burst, which limits her overall impact. Additionally, as both of her utilities (debuff removal and Invincibility Pierce) are situational, this sort of kit also means that she lacks a unique niche compared to her alternatives aside from the aforementioned self-debuff removal.

Good NP Gain

Thanks to Altria’s NP charge skill, her good NP gain potential, as well as her NP’s 20% charge refund, she is able to unleash her NP more often compared to her competitors. Alongside Servants able to provide NP gain assistance, she is able to potentially unleash two NPs back-to-back. This also makes her really useful for farming in general.

Strategic Versatility

Thanks to her Invincibility Pierce and self-debuff removal, Altria possesses the tools required to fight bosses with various gimmicks, especially those pertaining to defensive skills (i.e. Invincibility/Evasion). To further aid her team, she also has access to a decent Charisma skill.

Average Offensive Capability

Despite having a formidable Buster performance buff, it only lasts for one turn and outside of it, Altria has little going for her in comparison to other damage dealers. Additionally, while Rhongomyniad’s damage is by no means bad, being AoE and without an upgrade, it is nothing special either. As a result, Servants such as her Alter counterpart and Karna will often be preferred over Altria in terms of offense.

No Defensive Capability

Although Altria has a notably high HP pool, she possesses no defensive capabilities, which means that she will have to rely on her allies in regards to survivability. Fortunately, however, she is fairly sufficient in regards to NP gain, meaning that her allies are able to focus more on this aspect.

Altria has one of the more flexible kits in terms of leveling priority. Each of her skill helps a certain aspect more than the others, meaning that they can generally be leveled depending on the player’s needs. The priority listed here can be considered as a safe option.

Mana Burst, being Altria’s primary damage-boosting skill, can be leveled first in order to maximize the amount of damage she can deal. The cooldown reduction gained from leveling the skill allows Altria to benefit more from her fast-charging NP.

Providing a three-turn ATK buff for the whole team, Charisma has an uptime of 60% at max level. While it has considerably less percentage than Mana Burst, it affects the whole team and lasts longer, thereby allowing it to be used with more flexibility.

Protection of World's End: An NP charge is always good for farming and the cooldown reduction is important for longer battles. Leveling this skill greatly increases her flexibility in terms of potential CE options. Furthermore, when event CEs are involved, insufficient levels on this skill can make event farming runs harder than they need to be.

Craft Essence Recommendation

Given Altria's own NP charge and general farming use, hybrid CEs with Starting NP Gauge work exceptionally well with her. To stack the most damage for her NP, NP Damage Up is ideal and stacks well with common supports. In addition, NP Gain is a viable alternative given her decent NP Gain rate, as are the standard Buster Performance Up options.

  • Golden Sumo / Holy Night Supper / Little Halloween Devil

Due to Protection of World's End's high NP charge, Starting NP Gauge CEs with damage-increasing secondary effects are preferred. With the skill maxed, Altria is able to use her NP on the very first turn when equipped with these CEs, despite the lower starting NP amount compared to things like Kaleidoscope.

  • The Black Grail / Heaven’s Feel

These CEs aim to abuse Altria’s NP-spamming capability through NP Damage Up by maximizing Rhongomyniad’s damage (it stacks multiplicatively with her other. This strategy is most effective in stages with multiple waves of higher-health enemies, as opposed to stages with only a single extremely high-health boss.

  • Kaleidoscope / The Imaginary Element

These CEs are good options for Altrias with lower levels of Protection of World's End. While they are significantly less useful as her skill levels increase, they allow Altria to be used with minimal investment or they can setup back-to-back NPs.

  • Hero Elly's Adventure / Limited/Zero Over / Partake with the King / First Sunrise

The standard Buster options work okay, but they do stack additively with Altria's own Mana Burst. As such, her Burst Damage turn is much less pronounced although her average damage is boosted by a fair amount.
