Attack / HP Growth
Caligula is a completely hit or miss character. When all of his buffs go off he can deal an absurd amount of damage despite being a bronze unit. However, that scenario doesn't happen that often due to his terrible bulk, his skill that is completely dependent on RNG and overall low stats. The lack of any survival tools also aggravates Caligula's problem, making him even riskier to use as without great team support and proper usage of Mystic Code he can completely die in 1 turn or offer nothing to the team in tough battles. Caligula can also be considered to have no Noble Phantasm, as it is extremely hard for him to reach 100% NP on his own, and its effects are not even worth using and have no synergy with his role. Overall, Caligula is through and through a terrible servant and is not recommendable at all unless players like him as a character
- High damage potential despite being a low star, thanks to having 3 steroid skills and being a Berserker
- Low rarity gives him terrible base stats, requires a lot of investment in term of skills/grailing to catch up
- Terrible bulk for being a Berserker, can die at any given moment
- Skills are generally unreliable and a lack of survivability make him extremely hit or miss to use
- Terribly niche Noble Phantasm that doesn't synergize with his kit at all
Craft Essence Recommendation
- Limited Zero Over / Verdant Sound of Destruction: Improve Caligula's damage through his only means - Buster card
- Maid in Halloween: This Craft Essence does have good synergy with his Imperial Privilege, provided he doesn't die in one hit/turn to make use of its heal
Level Up Skill Recommendation
Sadistic Streak is the most stable amongst his 3 skills and is available at the start. At max level a 30% attack buffs with only 2 turns downtime is really good and vastly improves his consistency.
After Sadistic Streak, Glory of Past Days is worth Rank Up over Imperial Privilege despite it being unavailable before Caligula did his Rank Up quest. 50% Buster for every 3 turn at max level is nothing to scoff at, and it also has the edge over Imperial Privilege due to the latter being quite unreliable due to its 60% success rate. Nonetheless, both are worth leveling as they all add immense steroids to Caligula's already quite impressive damage output as a 2 star servant.
Suggested Servant Synergies
William Shakespeare: Shakespeare can help double down on Caligula’s card damage. Whereas Caligula’s base skills are pretty decent offensively, his lack of a damaging NP causes all his damage to be focused on his cards. With up to 70% attack up, Caligula can burst enemies pretty darn hard with Shakespeare’s 40% Buster up. In the future, Caligula receives his own self Buster up skill, for up to 50%.
Hans Christian Andersen: Andersen negates the demerits of Caligula’s Sadism skill through defense buffs and heals. Additionally, Han’s crit buffs and stars combined with Caligula’s monstrous self-buffs can result in surprisingly strong crit damage. One famous bronze run during Nero Fest Redux had Caligula as the main damage dealer. By stacking Hans’ crits buffs and switching Caligula out with the Plugsuit Mystic Code on cooldown to keep the buffs active, Caligula managed to pretty much one round Gilgamesh.
Musashibou Benkei: As a fellow skill/NP sealer, Benkei provides the added benefit of a taunt to keep Caligula safe. Through Caligula’s NP, and Benkei’s skills and NP, there is a pretty good chance to keep the enemies from doing anything but attacking normally.
