Attack / HP Growth
A first glance at Spartacus's skill set gives us the impression he's built as an AoE Berserker with good durability due to healing and guts, except that is not the case most of the time for Spartacus. His status as a 1 star unit coupled with being a Berserker make him extremely squishy and heavily reliant on guts to survive. All those heals barely do anything for Spartacus when he effectively has less than 4000 HP when being hit by anything and everything. Spartacus' only value is that he is a decent farm unit, since he can charge his NP bar and has a good damaging AoE Noble Phantasm. Outside of that, it is hard to justify using Spartacus in a serious team, unless people like to use him because of memes.
- Good AoE NP for farming
- Can charge his NP bar, makes him a good farmer on the virtue of being able to fire off his NP immediately with a Kaleidoscope or max limit broken Imaginary Element
- Extremely squishy due to being a low rarity Berserker
- Offer very little to the team
- Lack a way to make good use of his Heal due to being easy to be bursted down
Craft Essence Recommendation
- Kaleidoscope / Imaginary Element / Halloween Princess: Offer him starting NP bar so he can fire off his NP easier
- Maid in Halloween: In the event where players decide to Grail up Spartacus and he can start surviving past 1 turn when attacked, Maid in Halloween can helps him out by offering him more heal to last
Level Up Skill Recommendation
For a mediocre servant, Spartacus does have some good skills. His main niche is to be a farming unit with his Noble Phantasm while having decent longevity on the battlefield. Thus it is better to focus on his main role when leveling up his skills.
In most teams Spartacus will find it hard charging his NP bar without proper support, so maxing his 2nd skill Unyielding Will helps a lot with that. Afterward, players should go to his Triumphant Return of the Sword skill to maximize his burst with his NP. The downside of this skill is that it's only available after his 2nd Rank Up quest. His 1st skill is quite mediocre at the start, and only become worth using after his first Rank Up quest, so it can be leveled up last without hampering his performance.
Suggested Servant Synergies
Mash Kyrielight: Spartacus has the odd niche of being a healing based berserker. With his sustain (that becomes even stronger post Rank Ups), Spartacus’ survivability skyrockets when he has defensive buffs. Additionally, Spartacus has the privilege of partially bypassing the Berserker problem of poor NP gen due to the deck with his NP battery skill Unyielding Will. Stacked with Mashu’s Invulnerability/NP charge skill, he can gain up to 50% NP gauge right off the bat. With a starting NP CE, Spartacus can instantly unleash his NP.
Gaius Julius Caesar: Spartacus’ second Rank Up quest grants him a special Mana Burst that also heals him. Caesar can fill in the remaining damage buffs required for Spartacus to fire a stronger NP, with Charisma mitigating the downside of Spartacus’ low attack stat. Incitement’s demerit is slightly mitigated through Spartacus’ own strong healing ability.
Medea: With Medea’s triple Arts cards, it makes it actually possible for Spartacus to form an Arts chain. Meanwhile, on-demand buff removal will make it easier for Spartacus to do his job and hit his targets. Medea has decent sustain to somewhat match Spartacus’, and in the future she gains an NP gain buff/ debuff removal skill that Spartacus could possibly use to good effect.
