May King B: Robin Hood rounds out his kit with a full fledged Evasion and some nice additional effects. Apart from granting Evasion and Sure hit, it also generates up to 20 stars. An amount of stars that makes Instinct pale in comparison. An excellent skill that should be levelled after Sabotage.
Gentlemanly Love C: Edward Teach completes his kit as a hybrid (female)-support option. With the addition of a party-wide healing skill that doubles in value for females, Edward Teach can grant surprising staying power and support for his team. For general farming, this complements his playstyle nicely. Gentlemanly Love should be levelled last or second, depending on whether a Master prefers more offense or a defensive hybrid.
Seven Hills A: This fantastic skill is available to Romulus at last. The buster steroid is substantial at up to 30%, but it’s also targetable, giving it some nice flexibility in its use. Aside from the Buster buff, it comes with a 1 turn 1000 HP Guts as well for the odd dangerous situations. Despite the long cooldown, it shares a skill levelling recommendation along with Imperial Privilege and is more generally more reliable if a bit weaker.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Eine kleine Nachtmusic EX: The “I want to crit this turn immediately” button has arrived in all its glory. Maxed, this super-Instinct grants a whopping 50 stars on use. This skill is what makes Mozart unique and truly makes him a Servant worth levelling for every Master. Along with the Order Change ability from the Chaldea Combat Uniform, there are plenty of massive critical shenanigans a clever Master can pull off to one-shot an enemy boss. Level this quickly and rejoice.
Mana Reversal A: The keystone to Lancelot’s entire kit is here at last. This skill is comprised of two massive buffs, yet only one is really relevant. The additional up to 100% NP gain is nice, but considering the base values it upgrades his NP gain from, it goes from “absolutely atrocious” to “meh". The critical steroid of up to 50% is the actual meat of the skill. With Lancelot’s star generation on NP and amazing star absorption buff, Lancelot will be able to deal devastating damage to an enemy after his NP turn or when fed a steady stream of stars. Combines hilariously well with Mozart’s new skill as well. A skill to max ASAP and never look back.
Lancelot was already preemptively moved to tier 3. He’s very powerful, but remains limited in CE selection and needs specific Servants to support him properly.
Double-cross B: Mata Hari receives yet another defense debuff to add to her kit with an additional Skill Seal. Skill Seal is very situationally useful usually, but it can be used in some very specific situations to great effect. Overall, it’s a decent skill and should be levelled second.
Oath of the Holy Maiden C: Saint Martha has always been a Servant heavy on utility and party support. With the difficulty of boss fights ever increasing, Oath of the Holy Maiden is a welcome addition. Not only does it strip the enemy of their buffs, which is incredible during many Challenge Quests, it also reduces their defense by up to 30% for 3 turns on a 5 turn cooldown. A great skill that should be levelled simultaneously with Miracle.
Saint Martha was already somewhat preemptively in tier 3 for her incredible utility during Challenge Quests. Now she can do that job even better.
Glory of Past Days B: Another steroid for Caligula’s offense-overloaded kit. The Buster steroid at up to 50% synergizes very well multiplicatively with all the attack buffs in his kit and also comes with an extremely low base cooldown. The HP demerit is a minor price to pay for the large benefit. A good skill to level second.
Bath of Fresh Blood A: Carmilla rounds out her skillset with a situational critical chance down debuff that also grants her up to 10 stars per turn for 3 turns. A good skill that patches up Carmilla’s rather weak star generation, but it’s not as powerful as the rest of her skills. Level this last.
This skill improves Carmilla, but not enough to push her into tier 1 material.
Triumphant Return of the Sword B: Finally Spartacus receives his much-needed Buster Steroid to improve his farming potential. Between his NP gauge boost and this Buster Steroid, Spartacus is often a staple in any 3-turn farming teams. Level this second or simultaneously with Unyielding Will.
Calydonian Hunt A: Atalante’s third skill would be amazing on most Servants, yet the NP gain buff simply turns her low NP gain into something decent. Still, it comes with an always useful Evasion for extended engagements with Atalante in the team. It should generally be levelled second.
Atalante remains in tier 3, where she was placed for her massive team-wide quick buff and superb star-generating NP.
Half-Dead Bloodaxe A+: Eric receives a rare Max HP up buff that doubles as a debuff cleanse. Considering the HP cost of his NP and the proactive nature of any Max HP buff, this is a pretty decent skill for survival. Still, HP recovery in general is weaker for Berserkers as they receive double the damage of any normal class. Currently, the write-up for Eric recommends levelling his Battle Continuation second, but this skill is much more proactive and useful whenever and should be levelled before Battle Continuation.
Whim of the Goddess A (Stheno): An excellent skill that grants a more widely useful niche for Stheno. A powerful Charisma which doubles in value for Divine Servants. While it doesn’t fully repair her kit it makes her much applicable for general use and it should be levelled first and with priority.
This skill removes Stheno from her own tier and makes her useful enough to be put into tier 5. The Stheno bullying is over at last.
Increases own Arts performance for 1 turn.
Increases own Quick performance for 1 turn.
Increases own Buster performance for 1 turn.
Projection B: EMIYA’s Magikarp status is over. With Projection replacing Magecraft, his NP turn can put out some impressive numbers and especially improves an Extra chain. The steroid values are good as well, but the road to power isn’t over yet. Emiya still has problems doing sustained damage and his 2nd Strengthening Quest will be able to address this. Unlock this upgrade immediately and make sure to level this skill first.
With his first upgrade, Emiya can start performing at a good level and will be moved to tier 3.
