Altria is worse than Altera in most aspects aside from her NP. Thanks to Mana Burst and early access to her NP up Interlude, she can deal immense AoE damage when both her NP and the skill are up. However, outside of her NP, Altria performs strictly worse than Altera due to her low attack and generic skill set. Thus her main role in most teams is relegated to being a wave clearer or dailies farmer.
- Having Charisma allows her to raise teammates and herself damage output
- One of the best AoE NP in the game at the moment with Mana Burst
- More likely to spam her NP thanks to Excalibur's overcharge effect
- Low attack compared to her main competitor Altera, meaning her damage output is poor outside of her NP
- Intuition is an underwhelming skill even when maxed
- Has no particular niche that she excels in
Craft Essence Recommendation
- Kaleidoscope, The Imaginary Element: Allow her to quickly fire off her NP for farming or against multiple units
- Limited/Zero Over, Verdant Sound of Destruction: Vastly improve her damage output due to her relying on her buster cards most of the time for damage
- Heaven's Feel / The Black Grail: Improve her great AoE damage output
- Halloween Princess: A combination of both Heaven's Feel and Imaginary Element. Very powerful if Altria's main purpose is to fire off her NP
Level Up Skill Recommendation
Altria's skill leveling order is very simple and straightforward. 2 > 1 > 3 is her best skill order that emphasizes what she does well most, which is aoe wave clear with her NP and provide a decent amount of support to her teammates through Charisma and Intuition.
Her NP hits very hard during the early phase of the game thanks to both her easy access to NP improvement interlude and Mana Burst, and thus this skill should be maxed as soon as possible to maximize her main selling point.
Charisma should be maxed second as leveling it reduces the cooldown and raising the attack bonus, which is never bad for any circumstance.
Intuition is a mediocre skill but it does have its use as it can facilitate some strong 1 turn burst with crit, but in general, its usefulness is outweighed by both Mana Burst and Charisma
Suggested Servant Synergies
Note: Altria, as with as most other sabers, are pretty self-contained servants. Supports can help her, but do not change her generalist role notably.
Gaius Julius Caesar: For lancer heavy stages, there tend to be waves of small enemies culminating in a single strong boss. While Altria’s AoE Noble Phantasm can handle the earlier waves, Caesar’s single target Noble Phantasm will allow for a faster and healthier clear against a boss so long as it is not an archer. Additionally, Caesar has the benefit of having the distinct buffs Charisma and Tactics, which stack multiplicatively for NP damage.
Mash Kyrielight: Altria has no defensive skills in her kit, which Mash remedies with her defense buff. Additionally, with a Kaleidoscope and Mash’s second skill at max level, Altria can reach 100% NP charge right off the bat, which is perfect for quick EXP farming.
Ushiwakamaru: Ushiwakamaru’s teamwide NP gain buff helps out Altria’s low hit-count arts cards and average NP gain, while having two arts cards allows for a decent chance at arts chains or art command starters. Their mutual Charisma can be stacked for a total of 35% increased damage at maxed rank. In return, Altria can generate stars on demand, which Ushiwakamaru can take advantage of with her naturally higher Rider class star weight.
Zhuge Liang (El-Melloi II): Zhuge Liang's skills allow Altria to quickly generate NP in addition to the bonus NP generated from her Noble Phantasm's overcharge, which in turn enables Altria to quickly clear waves of enemies. Combined with her already high health, Zhuge Liang's defense skill and NP can make for a very solid team that can survive through most situations.
