"I am consistent in the fact I have a chaotic character!"

Chaldea's Cute Combat Canid Cat Cook cuts through enemies and lends her paws as one of the more commonly seen farming servants in the game.  True to her character as a self-identified Cat who goes, "Woof", Tamamo Cat's peculiarities extend to her kit as well. With a defense up, a dicey NP drain, and a self-healing AoE NP, she fills the apron of a sustainable farmer.

Cat's main dish is her AoE Berserker Noble Phantasm, which is valuable for farming all kinds of content, especially the daily quests.  The self-stun is a drawback, but a non-factor if her NP is used on the last wave. Although her survival niche makes her more forgiving on longer quests, her lack of hard survivability, specialization in damage, and somewhat random kit makes makes her difficult to utilize in content outside of farming.  This unfortunately puts her behind her 4* AoE Berserker peers, Lancelot and Frankenstein, in general flexibility. For dedicated farming though, a cat is fine, too.

AoE Berserker NP

With an interlude on her NP and a 30% Attack buff, Tamamo is able to consistently farm a variety of stages, most notably any EXP daily.

Durability and Sustain on a Berserker

Tamamo has a defense up, 3-turn self-heal, and in a future Rank Up quest, Max HP buff.  This allows her to take more hits over time than some of her Berserker peers. Her NP regenerates a significant amount of her HP, allowing her to wake up bushy tailed or to emergency heal her during longer quests.

High NP Gain for an AoE Berserker

Compared to Fran (1.66% on Arts) and Lancelot (1.0% on Arts), Tamamo Cat's effective 2.13% Arts NP Gain is a factor higher than her peers, increasing the consistency of her NP availability in farming missions where you use her on all three waves.

Low Attack

Tamamo Cat's attack is the lowest of the three aforementioned AoE Berserkers at 9k attack, with 400 less points than Frankenstein and almost 1500 less than Lancelot.  To top it off, her 30% Attack buff only lasts two turns.

Self Stun

The self stun on her NP is negligible on turn three of farming EXP, but it prevents Tamamo from attacking or contributing to chains on the next turn, hurting her usability.  In a future Rank Up, her Morph provides debuff immunity, which remedies this.

Soft Survival Focus is Niche

For endgame masters who have their efficient farming setup sorted, Tamamo Cat's soft survivability niche doesn't contribute much towards farming more efficiently, which is compounded by her lower damage.  The lack of hard survivability like a dodge or invincibility also makes her survival niche inconsistent due to her Berserker typing.

Craft Essence Recommendation

As an NP-reliant farming Servant, Tamamo wants to have her NP up as soon as possible.  Craft Essences with Starting NP Gauge are all but necessary to farm with her. Buster Up craft essences can help with her normal cards, while Quick CE's can improve her NP refund/effectiveness, but neither are particularly amazing in terms of opportunity cost.

  • Kaleidoscope/The Imaginary Element/Dragon's Meridian: An 80% NP gauge means your friendly local NP gauge charger will be able to get her to 100% easily, just in time to melt the last wave of hands!  Mmm. Good Morning! Alternatives would be a Max Limit Broken The Imaginary Element, or even a Max Limit Broken Dragon’s Meridian
  • Golden Sumo: This CE raises Tamamo Cat's attack by a generous 15% upon MLB, and improves her damage consistency both on her NP and her normal cards.
  • Halloween Princess: The other 50% CE that Tamamo Cat can use decently well, boosting her NP damage.

Level Up Skill Recommendation

  • Monstrous Strength directly increases Cat's command card and NP damage.  Maxing it allows Cat to farm hands even more efficiently to feed your servants.
  • Curse's lower rank and consistency might help stall out a turn versus a boss, but is generally useless in farming settings unless you're fighting a midboss like the Efreet.  Since it is rather unreliable even when maxed out at a 70% drain chance, this can safely be levelled last.

  • Morph is Cat's second most useful skill and should be maxed after Monstrous Strength.  Given her Berserker typing, the defense up helps her take a few more hits if she isn’t used for 3-turn farming.  The benefits only get better with her future Max HP increasing Rank Up upgrade.
