MMM - Highest of Heliotrope-Hued-Hair Human Haters Holds Humbling Hoedown, Humanity's Habitués Holler Homosexuality (Trinity Metaltronus Gacha 2)

Intro
I have to say, I’ve waited a while for this one as a player. Ever since I saw the Ordeal Call representatives back when it was announced (and we thought Ordeal Call 4 was 3 instead), Lilith’s design was so appealing to me, but little did poor Rath know he’d be waiting multiple years saving up SQ for this banner.
I don’t have much else to say, but boy would it be a bummer if I had to lambast this lady after waiting so long, personally speaking.

Lilith
While we often joke about the Fate franchise trying to pretend a Servant’s identity is concealed while it’s incredibly obvious at first glance, conversely it means the character design of many Servants is so good you can draw upon contextual clues to guess their identity.
Case in point, if you forced me to bet money on her identity just based off of her first image, I would’ve gotten Lilith right immediately.
But to avoid spoiling too much of OC4, I’m waiting for those toxic Yuri doujins, stat. Get to it!
As an SSR Berserker, Lilith already has a head start by being in the best class in the game by a good distance, but she manages to not let down the legacy of the home of Buster gorillas, having the 4th best Attack and tied 7th worse HP of any SSR Berserker. She might not be the best in either regard, but Berserkers scale more effectively with glass cannon stats, and Lilith definitely falls under that category with her monstrous Attack stat.
That isn’t everything to her, either. She packs the common passives of Madness Enhancement and Divinity, providing some minor boosts to her normal card damage, as well as her unique passive, Hatred, providing an Effective Damage boost against Living Human foes.
None of those passives are particularly standout, especially since the number of Living Human foes we face are pretty limited, since the trait is generally “good guy-coded”. Better than nothing, at the very least.
So how does Lilith perform on the whole? Well on one hand, she’s the Darkness incarnate, seductive secrecy, and d-damn, are those piercings?
- +Lilith follows the typical formula for success in any ST Servant - focus on as many damage buffs from as many sources as possible. She packs an incredible array of offensive boosts that can apply to very common traits among bosses, and combined with both Invincible Pierce and the power of the Berserker class, she can square up against almost anyone and do incredible damage. That’s doubled up with her Critical Damage game, especially as her copious star generation enables some vicious critical chains that supplement and simultaneously charge up Lilith’s NP for more.
- +Despite the reputation of the class, Lilith isn’t that frail on the whole. With her powerful Charm and Evasion skill on reasonable cooldowns, she can no-sell incoming damage for 2 turns every skill cycle, without even depending on the defensive capabilities of her supports. This may sound like an odd thing to focus on for such an aggressive Servant, but many Berserkers (such as fellow Quick ST Berserker MHXA) have great offensive capabilities then are left entirely stranded on the defensive front. This is doubly important for Quick Berserkers, who can’t depend on either Skadi form for particularly great defensive support.
However, she’s also a snake in the grass, the first harlot, and, worst of all, she insulted my favourite eggplant. Multiple times! Unforgivable:
- -Lilith comes burdened with a few flaws that can be potentially devastating depending on how frequently they come up. First, as I’ve mentioned a lot, is the presence of bosses with permanent or near-permanent debuff immunity. Without the ability to slap debuffs on an enemy Lilith loses many of the best aspects of her kit, and starts to falter unlike some of her competitors in the same scenario.
- -The other flaw to Lilith is her shaky NP gain - in spite of all the perks she has to counteract it. The NP gain on her cards being average at best means she’s pretty dependent on the gauge charge of her supports to keep up her offense, since unlike some she won’t simply get a full gauge off of a good Arts crit or two. Since you’re taking Lilith to difficult content primarily, I won’t dismiss that the high defensive NP gain of Berserkers, 5% gauge per hit, can also counteract this, but it’ll present difficulty regardless.
In spite of the worrisome flaws plaguing her, Lilith hits the essential benchmarks that makes a ST Servant a valuable option for wrangling high difficulty content in the game. Her class and powerful baseline offense means she’s already of any other competing class, while even for a Berserker Lilith boasts potent offensive might, being able to hit hard and fast between both Crits and her NP while also punching past the most common obstacle in such content - Evasion and Invincible buffs.
It’s not just that she brings the power, but she also does so while covering her own hide, between her dependable Charm debuff and long-lasting Evasion. Where other hyper-offensive Berserkers might need a more defensively aligned Support or two to ensure they don’t blow up on the first enemy turn, Lilith can securely establish her own safety net and rely more on the offensive buffs of her team to punch through Gauge Breaks.
Throw in some of the random quirks she can support like turning any boss into an Evil one for Luvia to fly off the top rope for the Effective Damage NP one-two, and she manages to be fun and effective, if occasionally utterly stonewalled by Debuff Immunity. Her hard focus on tackling difficult content over farming does mean she focuses on a more narrow subset of the game, but if you need reliable and hard-hitting offense you can hardly go wrong with her. Rath™ Seal of Approval.
Outro
With that, we’re truly done with a vital chapter of FGO’s second part. For the Main Story all that lies ahead is the establishment of the Grand Servant system and the finale, but this year is still packing a lot to be excited for - the collab event which somehow evaded Golden Week, and the 10 Year Anniversary and subsequent Summer event on the horizon.
We’ll probably have a long break before any of those, but…gotta look forward to something, no?
