“Please don't interrupt my sightseeing. I'm inspecting my honeymoon, you know?”

With no need to hide her identity this time, Tenochtitlan decided it was time to go all out on summer fashion. As an AoE Quick Damage Dealer she certainly has the fashion… if one can ignore the lack of damage. Tenochtitlan primarily can act as a type of a tanky Servant for a party in some select fights.

Tenochtitlan primarily serves as a tank. With a 3-turn target focus on Summer Wars A that also beefs up her defenses, along with a hard evasion on Moon Rabbit EX she is meant to take several hits for the party. She also has fairly good supportive skills, giving all allies a nice charge and attack up on Squall Panic! A and the potential to reduce skill cooldowns if a Servant happens to be a bunny with Moon Rabbit EX. She’s also fairly unavoidable thanks to her Ignore Invincible on her Noble Phantasm, Armored Tenochtitlan which also highlights her fashionista sense!

That being said, she doesn’t have too much going for her in terms of offensive capacity. Her damage is quite low, no small part thanks to her Moon Cancer typing, and her NP gain is also lacking. She will need significant support, and it will be hard to find an enemy set where she would significantly thrive.

If a Master is lacking a Caster Altria or other option for a stall or immortal team, Tenochtitlan could serve as a good placeholder to absorb damage. She also could find some niche uses against waves with multiple Avenger enemies. But for the most part, Masters will want her because she is adorable whether one likes sunglasses, a hat, or bunny ears.

🟢 Strengths

High Defenses

Tenochtitlan has the benefit of serving as a tank, using her second skill’s target focus up and defense up to absorb hits, and her third skill to gain an evasion to use. In an extended fight if a master has her A5 unlocked and a Atlas Mystic Code she could in theory take all the enemy hits for 5 straight turns with a 100% defense up on turn 3. With her high 4-star HP pool, she’ll be hard to take down.

Support

Any Servant with a 20% team charge is an amazing asset when they have an AoE Noble Phantasm. But her support goes beyond that, including an attack up and a small heal. Further, her third skill can reduce cooldown by 1 turn for Bunny allies, creating a special niche support which can unlock potential for certain Servants.

Unavoidable

Tenochtitlan has an ignore invincible on her Noble Phantasm that activates before damage. This ensures that her damage will nearly always go through no matter what the enemy does.

🔴 Weaknesses

Low Damage

Sadly, having high HP comes at the cost of the ATK stat. She’s also a Moon Cancer who rarely ever deals class advantaged damage due to the lack of Avengers in the game. To make matters worse, she’s AoE, and most of the time when an Avenger appears they will be a single target boss. Her skills don’t do much to help, giving only small buffs meant more for the party than herself, and her Noble Phantasm’s super effective trait rarely applies against Avenger enemies.

NP Gain

Tenochtitlan has a Quick Noble Phantasm which is typically the worst in terms of supports for regenerating gauge. All she has to support herself is the 20% NP gauge charge, and doesn’t have a particularly crazy hitting Noble Phantasm to regenerate gauge.

Awkward

As much as a Master would love to use her evasion at an optimal time, it is tied to the same skill that gives her a 3-turn card effectiveness boost, making it more likely burned in an early trash wave instead of when needed.

Level Up Skill Recommendations

Increase NP Gauge for all allies by 20%. Restore HP for all allies each turn (3 turns). Increase ATK for all allies (3 turns). Increase ATK for all enemies by 10% (3 turns) [Demerit].

Moon Rabbit EX
Increase own Quick Card effectiveness (3 turns). Increase own Buster Card effectiveness (3 turns). Apply Evade to self (1 turn). Increase Critical Strength for all [Bunny Servant] allies (3 turns). Decrease Skill Cooldown by 1 for all [Bunny Servant] allies.

Tenochtitlan’s skills focus around defense with her second and third skill, and support with her first and third skill. Masters usually cast all three on the first turn, making sure to cast Moon Rabbit EX last so that the first 2 skills have their cooldowns reduced. Skill leveling order would be 3 -> 2 -> 1, although no skill necessarily needs to be maxed as NP gain is fixed. That said, skills 1 and 2 could very well benefit from being maxed if a Master also maxes her A5 skill and uses an Atlas Mystic Code, as this would allow for a cast both turns 1 and 3.

  • Squall Panic! A is a supportive skill, giving all allies a 20% gauge boost, a boost to their attack, and a HP regeneration. While it does also make the enemies a little stronger, this tends to be trivial in the long run. Masters want to use this for an early boost to the team’s gauge and to start a damage rotation. That said, leveling this only really increases HP recovery and attack, so it can be safely left at lower levels if Masters are short on materials. Level this last.
  • Summer Wars A is what turns Tenochtitlan into a tank, giving 3 turns of Target Focus and a 50% Defense boost at max level. It’s also fairly nice to ramp up her Noble Phantasm damage. This skill’s leveling only raises her Defense, but if a Master is using A5 and Atlas Mystic Code to cast it twice it has to be max. Otherwise, it can be left at lower levels. This can be leveled second. Note that when used on turns 1 and 3, Tenochtitlan can reach 100% DEF on turn 3, but the Target Focus effect will miss because it is already active, giving up the extra 3 turns of taunt. Masters can decide when this is preferable over delaying one more turn for additional taunt turns.
  • Moon Rabbit EX for the most part is a small steroid for Tenochtitlan, giving a boost to Quick and Buster, along with an on-demand Evasion. This skill really shines for a few select Bunny Servants, though, giving a small Critical damage boost and a 1-turn Skill cooldown reduction. If slotted correctly, this may allow certain Servants to cast their skills twice in a fight.

🖼️ Craft Essence Recommendations

Tenochtitlan is a tank, so her craft essence selections are more about Defense than Offense. Invincibility CEs are a great choice here, as it allows her to save her third skill until a later turn for more targeted evasion. Taunt CEs also can be quite useful to get her immediately into tank mode for longer fights to extend the duration of her initial target focus. Defense Up CEs can also help to lower her received damage when taunt is on.

  • Volumen Hydrargyrum / Grand New Year / Bitter and Sweet / Angel Heart: Tenochtitlan has a single turn of evasion. By giving her extra turns of invincibility, she can take even more hits.
  • Halloween Arrangement / Gudaguda Poster Girl / Outrage: The goal of Tenochtitlan is to get her to take the hits, and these CEs allow her to do so by increasing the number of turns she’ll have target focus at the start.
  • Iron-Willed Training / Code Cast: Tenochtitlan’s second skill gives her 3 turns of 50% Defense up. If Masters further equip a DEF Up CE, these will stack additively with her buff, even further decreasing the amount of damage she receives.
