Suzuka Gozen (Vacay)

“Spiritual visit a-okay! Hey, hey, I’m having so much fun this summer! I’m sure I’ll be spending quality time with Master! We’ll run through the summer together in perpetual Summer Mode!”

Suzuka Gozen rolls in on a motorcycle during the Summer 2025 Event as an AoE Quick Rider Servant. She sports a handy combination of offensive support for allies as well as anti-Earth and anti-Lawful damage niches.

Her Noble Phantasm, Natsumorijoudo Kourinteien, applies the ever handy Ignore Invincibility buff on herself before dealing damage to all enemies. Notably, she does Special ATK damage against Lawful-alignment targets, and Supereffective ATK damage against Earth attribute targets. These two traits can overlap, giving her potentially some of the highest damage available from an AoE Quick Rider against targets that share these traits. Additionally, she is fully capable of looping her NP with premiere Quick supports such as Skadi, thanks to both her NP Gauge charger skill and her NP Gain buff.

Speaking of her skills, her third skill Summer Flag B provides her with up to 30% NP charge, and has two other effects that can be targeted to an ally: a decently valued NP Gain buff that lasts 3 turns, and 1 turn of Skill Cooldown reduction. This skill is probably the most useful for her performance in a farming scenario. Her first skill, BF Super Summer EX, is quite notable for packing both a 20% ATK and 20% NP Damage buff targeted to all allies, albeit the NP Damage buff only applies to any Summer Form trait allies. Additionally, it provides a burst of up to 15 Stars to supplement the party’s ability to Crit on a given turn. Finally, her second skill, Divine Power (Summer) A is her primary personal steroid, giving her a 3-turn Quick buff and Crit Damage buff, and the ability to gain minor ATK buff stacks every time she lands a critical hit. The Crit enhancement aspects of her second skill synergize rather nicely with the Stars she can generate from her first skill, along with her innately high Star Gather Rate provided by her Rider Class.

Altogether, Suzuka Gozen (Rider) is decent AoE Quick Rider with anti-Earth/Lawful niches that come up relatively frequently, with the ability to loop more comfortably than some other alternatives. She also provides a decent chunk of offensive support, particularly for other Summer Form allies. Her primary weaknesses are low damage outside of her niche, and a complete lack of defensive skills. However, she’s not bringing her motorcycle into the battlefield to stick around, she’s meant to make quick work of enemies. Masters in need of a more consistent Quick looper of the Rider Class will find Suzuka Gozen’s summer form to be a great option.

Decent Offensive Support for Summer Allies

She provides a total of +20% ATK and +20% NP Strength for 3 turns to all summer mode allies. This is an effective 44% boost to offense if all other sources of buffs are ignored, making her a decent off-support / multicore farmer that provides offensive value to the party.

Strong Critical Performance

With the ability to generate Stars on demand, a decent Crit Damage buff, and the ability to further stack ATK buffs on herself whenever she lands a Critical hit, she makes any Crits much more valuable to her offense in the long run. Combined with the fact that she generates a healthy number of Stars from her NP and two high hit count Quick Cards make using her Cards to get Crits with her particularly desirable.

Quick Looping

Suzuka Gozen (Rider) is capable of 3-turn Quick Looping with premiere Quick supports such as Skadi. Her looping is more comfortable than some other alternatives in the AoE Quick Rider niche (some other Summer Servants such as Ishtar Rider and Carmilla Rider come to mind), making her a great option for the role.

Mediocre Damage without Trait

Against enemies that do not have either Earth attribute or Lawful alignment, her damage is very much on the lower end of her niche. In some cases if she has Class advantage, she can still manage to clear waves without too much issue, although this can become a concern against waves with higher health.

No Defensive Options

Suzuka Gozen (Rider) has no defensive options to speak of, and no sources of damage mitigation, so she either kills fast or can die fast otherwise. She relies heavily on allies for defensive support.

All of Suzuka Gozen (Rider)’s skills scale very well with level, and all of the improve her performance either in looping or in her damage output. Depending on how she is used, Masters may wish to prioritize her skills differently. If farming, the recommended order is 3 > 2 > 1; otherwise if being used for her offensive support, 1 > 3 > 2.

• BF Super Summer EX – This skill buffs ATK and NP Damage for 3 turns for all allies, along with providing a drop of Critical Stars. All three effects scale well with level, making this worth leveling and maxing if the materials allow. However, none of the effects of this skill affect her looping capability aside from the damage boost, so if focusing strictly on farming, this skill is less important.
• Divine Power (Summer) A – Her primary Quick damage steroid, this skill also comes with a powerful Crit Damage buff and the ability to gain further ATK buffs when landing Crits. Both the Quick buff and Crit Damage buff scale with level, and the improved Quick effectiveness helps slightly improve refund from her NP, so this skill is also useful to level.
• Summer Flag B – The NP Charge skill in her skillset, the charge scales from 20-30% across levels, which can be helpful in making sure she hits thresholds for filling her NP Gauge depending on CEs available. The skill also provides an NP Gain buff that scales with level too, further improving the effectiveness of her NP looping. Masters may be able to get away with leveling this to just 6, although depending on the NP Gauge break points and whether that full 10% is really needed, Masters may wish to opt to max this.

Suzuka Gozen (Rider) is an AoE Quick damage dealer that in most cases will be used in farming scenarios. She works well with Starting NP Gauge CEs, as well as Quick Effectiveness, NP Damage, ATK, and Critical Damage buffs for her offensive performance.

• Kaleidoscope / Winter Crystal / The Imaginary Element – Suzuka can NP immediately with a non-MLB Kaleidoscope, or with an MLB copy of either Imaginary Element or Winter Crystal.
• Holy Night Supper / Mission Start / Empty Garden / Princess’s Pilgrimage – These CEs provide all three of NP Damage/Quick buffs, Crit Damage buffs, and some starting NP Gauge, which help improve her damage output.
• Knights of Marines / Traces of Christmases Past / Crimson Teacher’s Pointer / Empty Garden / Imaginary Number Attribute / Cherry Icicle / Star’s Day Off / One Summer / Golden Sumo: Boulder Tournament – These are other options that provide at least two NP Damage / Quick / ATK buffs and starting NP Gauge. Many of these are prior Event CEs and would be easier to acquire an MLB copy of if Masters participated in a past event.
• The Black Grail / Heaven's Feel – These are CEs that provide the highest NP Damage boost available. However, with these CEs she can have trouble looping on some enemy Class waves; these choices are for mostly for pure damage.
