Rabbit’s Reviews #454: Lilith (5* Rider)

If you’ve read Beni’s and Biscione’s reviews, you already have a sense of what Lilith is capable of. She is, in sum, a self-sacrificing support who brings damage, charge, and—most importantly—cooldown reduction, without costing you a support slot in burst teams. Lilith enables all kinds of nonsense, and Lilith teams are by far the highest damage you can currently get out of farm-enabled setups. She is objectively very very powerful, and unlike certain other self-sacrifice supports, like Nobukatsu, she doesn’t need a starting charge CE to work.

Lilith comes with two major asterisks, though. First, a proper Lilith team means you’re running a full set of SSR supports, which means, even at very high Master levels, your CE options are limited by team cost. A double Lilith team can only run four SSR CEs, including the one you get “free” from your friend support, which means even if Lilith enables you to clear a node without using The Black Grail, you still lose an SSR CE. If you’re running a mix of CE levels—if, for example, you’re running a mix of drop CEs for a 90++ node—a player with 116 cost available can afford to run a 5* CE, a 4* CE, and three 3* CEs, plus whatever your friend support has available. If you specifically want to prioritize event currencies of all rarities, it might be worth running Lilith if the alternative would be using The Black Grail on your DPS… but in most cases, as long as you have a high-power AoE DPS ready to go, you can farm more efficiently with a traditional triple-support team.

The second major asterisk is that Lilith teams are slow. I don’t usually pay much attention to time and number of button-presses when evaluating Servants, unless they’re particularly noteworthy for some reason (see: Servants like Olga and Arc being able to clear most sub-90++ farming nodes with very few button presses, or Bunyan having an extremely short NP), but optimal Lilith teams typically involve six total NPs and three Servants swaps, which adds up to a lot of time and effort over repeated farming runs.

Of course, farming isn’t everything. Lilith is truly phenomenal for shortform CQs, and she’s a capable DPS in her own right. Lilith is an interesting Servant in that her theoretical ceiling is extremely high, and she enables things that were completely impossible prior to her release. The damage she provides to an optimized farming team is often overkill, but if you need what she had to offer for some reason—if you want to farm with a Servant who wouldn’t otherwise have the damage, or if you want to min-turn a CQ where the enemies have very high health, or if (and I hope this doesn’t happen) we were to get a new tier of farming nodes with higher damage thresholds—Lilith would be essentially your only option. She’s the Servant I most recommend pulling for out of this Summer batch, even if she’s not the most generically useful, simply because she does things no other Servant does, and if you find yourself wanting what she offers, you’ll be very glad to have her.

What NP lvl would be good for Lilikini (Summer Lilith)?
