“Uhm…Elisa the Nine-Tattooed Dragon! My Class is, Pretender? Please take care of me! Awaken, Mount Liang! Yes! I’ll destroy any evil that defies us!”
Elisabeth returns from her hibernation as a new welfare for the Halloween 2024 event, this time infused with the power of the nine-tattoo dragon. She is the roster’s first welfare Pretender-Class Servant, and is an AoE Buster Servant with a mix of both supportive and offensive skills.
Elisa’s NP, Jiulong Eli-chan, Shooting Star!, buffs both her Star Drop Rate and NP Damage before dealing damage, and also debuffs DEF for all targets by a small amount after damage is dealt. To support her ability to deal damage, she has a party NP Gauge charge skill of up to 20%, although otherwise she has somewhat average NP Gain and only one Arts Card in her deck, so she could use some support in getting her NP gauge charged fully.
Her skills provide a plethora of buffs depending on the traits of her allies. Her first skill, War Cry, Mount Liang EX importantly provides the Mount Liang Resident trait to all allies. Additionally, it provides ATK buffs, Crit Damage buffs for Lawful allies, NP Damage for Neutral alignment allies, and NP Gain for Chaotic allies. It additionally buffs Elisa’s own Star Gather Rate. Her second skill Grand Banquet, Mount Liang EX takes advantage of the trait granted by her first skill by providing up to 20% NP Gauge and Max HP buffs to all Mount Liang Resident allies, in exchange for a minor Debuff Resist debuff to all allies. Generally, Masters will want to always use her first skill before her second, to ensure maximum benefits from her second skill to the party. Finally, her third skill, Minute Star of Heaven's Raiment C, is a selfish damage steroid, buffing her Quick, Buster and Crit Damage for three turns.
Nine-Tattooed Dragon Elisabeth’s greatest claim to fame is being the first Pretender welfare, giving Masters easy access to at least one damage dealer of the Class. This which makes her a desirable addition to the party, since Pretenders are the best damage option against the occasional Alter Ego enemy that tend to start appearing more frequently in later content. Her skill set is otherwise a somewhat chaotic hodgepodge of effects that ultimately are generally helpful to almost any Servant on the team. Masters will not want to miss out on the adorable Elisabeth from Mount Liang!
🟢 Strengths
Welfare Pretender
The Pretender Class is quite sparse and relatively few options are available that are damage dealers. Being a welfare Servant, Elisa is an easy-access option with respectable damage thanks to her ease of NP5.
Decent Party Support
Despite many of her supportive effects being trait restricted, nearly every Servant has an assigned alignment on the Lawful/Neutral/Chaotic axis, so all Servants will benefit from at least one of her buffs. In addition, she is capable of providing 20% NP charge to the entire party when combining her first and second skills, which is a highly desirable effect that can benefit any party. This makes her a comfortable slot-in for many parties.
🔴 Weaknesses
No Hard Defense
Elisa has no hard defensive options to speak of in her own kit. Her only source of damage mitigation comes from the Max HP buff from her second skill, so she will be relying on support to help her survive harder hits from enemies.
Mediocre NP Gain
With only a single Arts Card in her deck and somewhat average NP Gain, combined with a relatively smaller 20% NP Gauge charger, this makes it somewhat difficult for her to charge her NP bar by herself. This is somewhat offset by the fact that, being Chaotic herself, she usually will get the NP Gain buff from her first skill. In spite of this, the lack of a 30% NP charger for herself as well puts her out of the running for easy 3-turn Buster looping setups as well. She will be mostly reliant on support or CEs to get her NP charged fully.
Level Up Skill Recommendations
Nine-Tattooed Dragon Elisabeth has effective leveling benefits for all three of her skills. The most important is arguably the NP Gauge charge to the party, which scales with level. However, each of her other skills provide great benefits to either the party or her own offensive capabilities, and are worth leveling as well. The overall suggested ordering is 2 > 1 > 3.
- War Cry, Mount Liang EX – This is Elisa’s primary offensive supportive skill, providing ATK and either or of Crit Damage/NP Damage/NP Gain to all allies, with a Star Gather buff for herself. Nearly all the effects of this skill scale with level, and this is a decent skill to level after her second skill.
- Grand Banquet, Mount Liang EX – This is her NP Gauge charger that affects the entire party if her first skill is also used. Since 20% is an important break point for NP charge, leveling this skill to max is suggested. The Max HP effect also scales with level, but is relatively minor in comparison.
- Minute Star of Heaven's Raiment C – Elisa’s primary selfish damage buff, all of the Quick, Buster, and Crit Damage buffs scale with level moderately well. Masters will still wish to level this skill if they wish to maximize Elisa’s effectiveness, although this can be left for later if resources are lacking.
🖼️ Craft Essence Recommendations
Elisa generally wants to deal damage with her AoE NP as soon as possible, and due to having a smaller NP charge of her own, Starting NP Gauge CEs are most helpful to her. Other CEs that also provide Buster, Attack, or NP Damage buffs are all helpful. They are essentially of nearly equal priority since she is capable of gaining all three offensive buff types in her own kit, so Masters may pick and choose as they desire.
- Aerial Drive / Holy Night Supper / Golden Sumo: Boulder Tournament / Ocean Flier / Partake with the King / Starry Nights – These CEs all provide some mixture of starting NP Gauge with either Buster buffs or other flavors of offensive buffs, which help Elisabeth get her NP out while enhancing its damage.
- Kaleidoscope / The Imaginary Element / Winter Crystal – For easier access to Elisabeth’s NP, these pure NP Gauge starting CEs are a better choice. A non-MLB version of Kaleidoscope is sufficient for her to NP immediately when combined with her second skill, while MLB versions of Imaginary Element or Winter Crystal can give her an immediate NP if she unlocks her second Append Skill.
- The Black Grail / Heaven's Feel – These CEs are pure NP damage boosts, and give Elisa the largest NP damage buff available if pure damage is desired.
