Noble Phantasm
“Let's head out to fill this world with Daikokuten's fortune, Great Masters!”
Classically a diety of fortune and wealth, Daikokuten was too busy and instead sent a plethora of mouse maids to the service of Chaldea in their stead. Daikokuten is a rare AoE Quick Caster Servant with an array of handy supportive effects and the ability to loop her NP with Quick support as well.
Her NP, Nezumi Jyodo, debuffs Quick Resist for all enemies before dealing damage, and has a supereffective damage modifier against Earth attribute enemies, which are relatively numerous. Additionally, the NP provides a small Critical damage buff to all allies afterwards, which will often come in handy due to the high number of Stars generated by her 9-hit Quick NP. Her skill set also contains a large number of supportive effects. Virtuous Service is her primary damage steroid, giving her a Quick damage buff, Stars each turn, and healing over time for the entire time, all for three turns. For All Living Things is a combined self NP charger of up to 30%, along with up to 10% additional NP Gauge each turn for all allies across three turns. Finally, Country of Mice provides an ever helpful party Evade for one hit across three turns, while also giving all allies three turns of a decently valued NP Gain buff.
As might be notable from her skills, all three skills in some way support Daikokuten's ability to loop her NP, including the Quick buff, NP charge, and NP Gain buffs split across her three skills. Many of her buffs are also widely applicable and helpful to nearly any party member, making her a well-rounded addition to nearly any team. Many of her skills also have sustain or defensive support effects, which tend to be lacking in Quick-oriented teams, making her particularly nice to have in Quick lineups.
Overall, Daikokuten is a solid Caster that brings a great variety of useful effects to the table. She also is the first Quick AoE Caster looper, which is a mixed blessing due to the poor Caster Class damage modifier. However, in the presence of premiere Quick support, she can handily clean waves up nice and tidy. Masters in need of house services done quick need look no further than Daikokuten!
🟢 Strengths
Quick Looping
Daikokuten's NP has a whopping 9 hits, and when combined with all of her Quick, NP charge, NP per turn, and NP Gain buffs, she loops quite comfortably. For Masters lacking a Caster Class farmer, she fills the job quite well. Additionally, her NP has a supereffective multiplier on Earth attribute enemies, which come up quite often, so her damage often is quite respectable as well.
Sustain Support
Her first skill provides up to 1k HP recovery each turn for three turns, while her third skill provides a 1-time Evade to all allies across three turns. Both of these skills make for very handy defensive and sustain options, which are otherwise less commonly available to Quick teams. These can help keep the team alive for longer, and help the team survive during crucial moments.
🔴 Weaknesses
Low Damage Modifiers Outside of Trait
The Caster Class's innate 0.9x damage modifier is an unfortunate flat penalty to Daikokuten's damage. In combination with her decidedly average ATK stat, her damage without support can be somewhat low, and she requires Quick Support to be more effective at wave clearing especially when enemies are not Earth attribute for her to benefit from her supereffective multiplier.
Defense and Offensive Buffs on Same Skills
Her healing over time and Evade skills are both tied to other effects that are useful for her NP looping capabilities. As a result, Masters will often have to choose between having access to her damage or NP gain buffs early with the possibility that her defensive option or healing will not be available when it may be more needed.
Level Up Skill Recommendations
All of Daikokuten's skills support her NP looping and supportive capabilities, and also scale decently well with levels, making all of her skills great for leveling. Maxing all her skills is beneficial, although if looking to conserve materials, her second skill is the most important due to it having both the NP charge and NP-per-turn effect.
- Virtuous Service A - This is her primary damage boost skill, while also providing Stars each turn and healing each turn to the party. All three of these effects scale with level, making this an attractive skill for leveling. This skill is worth maxing if the resources can be afforded, although is not as high priority as her NP charge skill for looping.
- For All Living Things A - Her NP charge skill which also provides additional NP Gauge each turn to all party members, both effects scale quite well with levels and make this her highest priority skill for leveling.
- Country of Mice B - Her hard defensive skill that also comes with an NP Gain buff. The Evade effect does not scale with level, although the NP Gain effect does and helps with her NP looping capability. Ideally this reaches at least Lv6 for looping against Assassin enemies, although reaching Lv10 will help make looping more comfortable against other lower NP gain enemies as well, such as Berserkers.
🖼️ Craft Essence Recommendations
Generally, Daikokuten benefits from Starting NP Gauge, NP Damage, ATK, and Quick Card Effectiveness buffs from Craft Essences. NP Gain effects are also welcome, although not strictly necessary. Her kit itself just contains a self Quick buff, so prioritizing NP Damage or ATK buffs will further boost her damage more noticeably.
- Holy Night Supper / Golden Sumo: Boulder Tournament / Knights of Marines / Crimson Teacher's Pointer / Traces of Christmases Past / Star's Day Off / Cherry Icicle / One Summer / Mission Start / Imaginary Number Attribute - These are all hybrid Craft Essences that provide a form of damage buff in addition to at least 50% starting NP Gauge. When combined with her second skill and a maxed 2nd Append skill, she can charge her own NP Gauge fully immediately without any further help.
- Kaleidoscope / The Imaginary Element / Winter Crystal - Strict Starting NP Gauge CEs. With a Kaleidoscope and her 2nd Append skill maxed, she can NP without burning any of her skills, which allows her to potentially save her NP charge for subsequent turns if desired.
- The Black Grail / Heaven's Feel - Since her kit does not innately have an NP Damage buff, these CEs provide the most sizable boost to her burst damage.
